Vodafone sells 100,000 iPhones in 1st week

Vodafone joined has joined the iPhone party and is now the fourth carrier in the UK to carry Apple’s popular smartphone. The iPhone launched through Vodafone this past week with a whopping 100,000 unit sales in the first week post-release.

Vodafone UK CEO, Guy Laurence, was very pleased with initial sales of Apple’s smartphone:

The demand from both consumer and business customers has been phenomenal. They want an outstanding phone on an outstanding network and we’re delivering that.

Other carriers in the UK include O2, Orange and Tesco.

NOTE: Vodafone is 45% owner of Verizon
