KMX reported a third-quarter sales decline of 5.5% year-on-year to $6.15 billion, missing the analyst consensus estimate of $6.33 billion. EPS of $0.52 beat the consensus estimate of $0.44.
CarMax shares climbed 7.7% to $80.42 on Thursday.
