• TransEnterix, Inc. TRXC gained 7.7 percent to $3.37 after the medical device company that improves minimally invasive surgery procedures announced an encouraging update. Specifically, the company said it has received clearance from the FDA for expanded indications of its Senhance Surgical System to now include laparoscopic colorectal, gynecologic, inguinal hernia and cholecystectomy surgery.
• Universal Display Corporation OLED rose 7.4 percent to $107.00 following earlier report that Apple will use only OLED screens in 3 of its new iPhone models.
• ION Geophysical Corporation IO gained 6.3 percent to $24.65. Janney Capital initiated coverage on ION Geophysical with a Buy rating.
