Don’t Over-regulate the Financial Markets, Cries NYSE Euronext Chief!

Alarmed by the willingness of the United States and other big economies to regulate or over-regulate the financial markets, the NYSE Euronext Chief, Duncan Niederauer has warned that such over-reaction could worsen global financial systems rather than improving them.  He strongly believed that the markets would revert to normalcy itself over a short period of time. He said in Tokyo that he is of the opinion that too much regulation may hurt stock values and the entire financial market.

              NYSE Euronext is a holding company that runs seven stock exchanges including New York, Paris and Amsterdam.
