Liz Claiborne, Inc. (NYSE: LIZ) climbed 28% to $6.65 on huge volume of 3.97 million shares on the news that LIZ has entered into a long term licensing agreement with J. C. Penney, under which JCPenney will become the exclusive department store destination for all Liz Claiborne and Claiborne branded merchandise in the United States and Puerto Rico.

Comparable store sales were flat for the month, compared to a 6% decrease for the same period last year.

Labopharm Inc. (CAN) (NASDAQ: DDSS) today again moved up 5.32% to $1.98 with 3.63 million changed hands . yesterday the stock rallied over 38% after it announced that its trazodone api supplier has resolved outstanding manufacturing issues with the FDA.
