Andrew Cuomo is an American politician who served as the 56th governor of New York from January 2011 until his resignation in August 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as New York's attorney general and as U.S. secretary of housing and urban development under President Bill Clinton. Cuomo is the son of former New York governor Mario Cuomo and played a prominent role in state and national politics, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
