U.S. stocks were mostly lower, with the Dow Jones index falling more than 100 points on Tuesday.
AT&T is modernizing its 5G wireless network, aiming to complete the transition to open, high-capacity technology by 2027. The network, with deep mid-band 5G spectrum, will cover over 300 million people by the end of 2026.
AT&T shares climbed 4.2% to $23.65 on Tuesday.
