Chinese Shares Jump
Chinese shares jumped 2.13 per cent by midday on Friday, led by blue chips on bargain hunting despite worries that funds may be instead diverted into the new Nasdaq-style ChiNext board, dealers said. The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was up 62.99 points to 3,023.46.
