David Hobson to Head ETS Social Investment Fund

PRINCETON, NJ--(Marketwire - August 14, 2009) - Educational Testing Service (ETS) President
and CEO Kurt Landgraf has appointed ETS Corporate Secretary David Hobson to
head the company's Social Investment Fund, effective January 1, 2010.
Hobson succeeds Eleanor Horne, who is retiring as head of the Fund at the
end of the year, after 40 years of service to education.

Horne joined ETS in 1969, soon after graduating from Howard University in
Washington, D.C. Her first position was Director of Test Collection; she
later served as Corporate Secretary. Throughout her career, she directed
much of her energies toward community-oriented projects designed to improve
people's access to educational opportunities and to improve the quality of
schooling.

She also worked on collaborations between ETS and Historically Black
Colleges and Universities, the National Urban League and its affiliates,
and the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities. She led the
Social Investment Fund since its inception in 2006.

The ETS Social Investment Fund (SIF) is the philanthropic and community
service arm of the company. The augmentation to Hobson's responsibilities
as corporate secretary becomes effective January 1, 2010, and he's already
begun to work closely with Horne and the SIF team.

As ETS's Corporate Secretary, Hobson oversees corporate governance
activities for ETS and its global subsidiaries. He also serves as liaison
between the Office of the President and the Board of Trustees.

Since Hobson joined ETS in 1972, he has worked in the corporate and finance
areas and in several strategic business units, including the former
Teaching & Learning, School & College Services and Global divisions.
