U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining around 100 points on Friday.
Shares of Worthington Steel Inc (NYSE:WS) rose sharply during Friday's session after the company announced that it has entered into a Business Combination Agreement with Kloeckner & Co.
The company plans a voluntary public offer to acquire all outstanding shares of Kloeckner & Co at 11 euros per share ($12.8), with management support and the existing leadership expected to remain post-closing.
Worthington Steel shares jumped 6.9% to $41.43 on Friday.

- Kopin Corp (NASDAQ:KOPN) shares jumped 17.1% to $3.46.
- Immunitybio Inc (NASDAQ:IBRX) gained 17% to $4.62 after the company announced QUILT-2.005 enrollment has exceeded internal expectations and is now over 85% complete. Also, the company announced updated efficacy and safety results from the ongoing QUILT-106 clinical study.
- Zura Bio Ltd (NASDAQ:ZURA) rose 17% to $5.49.
- Wheels Up Experience Inc (NYSE:UP) shares jumped 13.4% to $1.06.
- AST SpaceMobile Inc (NASDAQ:ASTS) gained 11.8% to $113.20 after the company was awarded a prime contract position on the US Missile Defense Agency’s SHIELD program.
- Riot Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:RIOT) gained 11.2% to $18.42 after the company announced that it acquired 200 acres of land at Rockdale and signed a Data Center Lease and Services Agreement with Advanced Micro Devices.
- Firefly Aerospace Inc (NASDAQ:FLY) surged 10.2% to $32.78.
- DBV Technologies SA – ADR (NASDAQ:DBVT) gained 10.1% to $20.70.
- Figure Technology Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:FIGR) gained 9% to $70.80.
- Loandepot Inc (NYSE:LDI) gained 9% to $2.91.
- Micron Technology Inc (NASDAQ:MU) gained 7.9% to $363.35 after Director Teyin Liu bought 23,200 shares at an average price of $337.14 per share.
- GE Vernova Inc (NYSE:GEV) gained 6.7% to $685.56.
- Maxlinear Inc (NASDAQ:MXL) gained 6.2% to $20.38. Benchmark analyst David Williams maintained MaxLinear with a Buy and raised the price target from $25 to $28.
- Ambarella Inc (NASDAQ:AMBA) rose 6% to $68.50.
