VinFast Auto Ltd. VFS shares dropped on Monday. The stock has been volatile recently due to several factors.
What To Know: VinFast stock has experienced general volatility ever since it began trading on the Nasdaq in mid-August. Shares soared on its debut, ending the day with a market capitalization of approximately $86 billion. However, the stock has declined sharply since the end of August, in part due to the fact that the majority of shares are held by only three companies.
More recently, the company reported second-quarter financial results towards the end of September, with shares trading lower in response. The stock did experience a boost last Thursday following a report suggesting the company is planning to set up a manufacturing plant in India. However, the selloff resumed in full force on Monday, with shares trading lower by over 21%.
