Bitcoin Surpasses $40,000; Manta Network Emerges As Top Gainer

Bitcoin BTC/USD moved higher, with the cryptocurrency prices surging past the key $40,000 level on Wednesday.

Ethereum ETH/USD also recorded gains, trading above the key $2,200 mark this morning.

Manta Network MANTA/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while XDC Network XDC/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap rose to $1.57 trillion, recording a 24-hour gain of 3.1%. BTC was trading higher by 3.5% at $40,192 while ETH rose by around 1.1% to $2,246 on Wednesday.
