Quest Diagnostics Posts Upbeat Results, Joins GM, Philip Morris And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Tue

U.S. stocks were lower, with the Dow Jones index falling around 50 points on Tuesday.

Shares of Quest Diagnostics Incorporated (NYSE:DGX) rose sharply during Tuesday's session after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results and issued FY24 revenue guidance above estimates.

Quest Diagnostics posted third-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $2.30, beating the consensus of $2.26. Sales increased 8.5% year-over-year to $2.49 billion, beating the consensus of $2.42 billion

Quest Diagnostics shares jumped 7.1% to $157.87 on Tuesday.
