Thursday's USDA cattle slaughter was 111,000 head versus a year ago at 118,000 head. Live cattle futures traded moderately lower on Thursday. At last check August Live Cattle was trading at 146.40, down 0.62 and October Cattle at last check was trading at 149.32, down 0.90.
