Benzinga Virtual Event Unlocks The World Of ETFs

Benzinga hosted the virtual event “ETF Unlocked” on Wednesday, February 22nd, bringing together business leaders and financial experts from the ETF space to discuss the state of the ETF market and its future in 2023.

The event was hosted by Michael Murray, Benzinga’s VP of Marketing and Capital Partnerships, Luke Jacobi, Director of Operations, and Erin Bry, Content Producer.  Providing participants with critical insights into the current state of the economy and the best investment advice available for those interested in ETFs, the event was a resounding success.

Sponsored by Traders Accounting (Traders Accounting Learn More), the event speakers included:

Direxion ETFs - “We’re always looking for underlying equities, fixed income indices, single stocks or even a concentrated basket of stocks, that traders want to participate in and have a view on so we're always looking for that in the leverage and inverse space and continue to evolve.” Ed Egilinski, Managing Director

USCF Investments - “You have to start with the Fed tightening cycle…history shows us that in these inflationary environments where the Fed is tightening, commodities tend to perform very well and we think that lines up with the fundamentals we’re seeing today.” - Kevin Baum, CIO

Opal Capital - “When you look at years like 2022 where we had positive performance when many of the funds were down… the ability to be active and focused on some of these higher quality names that will pay a decent dividend but are also growing that dividend over time allow us to perform well in tough environments.” Austin Graff, CIO

WisdomTree - “A whole generation of advisors, of investors, are now seeing what ‘normal’ interest rates should be looking at and that’s what we’ve been seeing. We’ve been seeing flows into fixed income, into high yield…” - Kevin Flanagan, Head of Fixed Income Strategy

Procure ETFs - “Seeing these countless natural disasters evolve around the world, it's something many people have very little exposure to, but it's an area of significant need and one that seems to be a very long term trend and long term trends is how we look to build ETFs for investors.” - Andrew Chanin, CEO

The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback from viewers, who praised the quality of the speakers, the depth of the discussions, and the overall organization of the event.
