B. Riley & Co. 11th Annual Investor Conference to Include Alternative Exchange Listed Companies

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

B. Riley & Co., LLC (B. Riley), www.brileyco.com, a full service broker dealer providing research and trading ideas to institutional clients and high net worth individuals, and investment banking services to a wide range of middle market private and public companies, announced that its 11th Annual Investor Conference will include presentations by companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the OTCQX.

This invitation-only conference is scheduled for May 24-26, 2010 at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel and will feature top management presentations from over 125 publicly traded companies.

With an average market cap of $280 million, the presenting companies will represent the following industries: Technology, Commercial Banks, Apparel & Retail, Energy, Defense, Movies & Entertainment, Business Services, Personal/Leisure Products, Research & Consulting Services, Biotech, and Healthcare.

The conference has been expanded to include presentations from alternative exchange listed companies, according to Ian Corydon, B. Riley’s Director of Research.

“Selected companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange as well as the OTCQX have been included,” said Corydon, “because it is part of our firm’s continuing effort to discover and present new opportunities to our investor clients.”

The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) recently reported a record $60 Billion in total financings and a record of 191.3 million trades for 2009.

The OTCQX is the premier tier of the U.S. over-the-counter market and is operated by Pink OTC Markets Inc. OTCQX listed companies are required to adhere to more rigorous financial disclosures. To help meet those requirements, OTCQX listed companies are required to engage an approved designated advisor for disclosure, commonly known as a “DAD”. B. Riley is an OTCQX DAD and is currently engaged with several such companies.

In addition to the company presentations and one-on-one meetings, there will be four expert led informational sessions including: a Registered Direct Workshop, a Corporate Governance and Activist panel, a session on Debt Financing, and an M&A panel.

In what is growing to be a big attraction, B. Riley is supporting the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation by providing conference attendees with a spectacular evening of boxing under the stars on the Santa Monica Pier. Themed “Big Fighters/Big Cause”, the charity boxing event will raise funds and introduce the investment community to the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation’s work with juvenile diabetes and childhood obesity.

The ProAm fight card will include several professional and amateur bouts sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission and USA Boxing.

“What started as a way to support the important work of the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation has grown into a major attraction. There is a lot of excitement for supporting an important cause and for what promises to be a fun boxing event in a most unique venue,” said Bryant Riley, Chairman.

“We are thrilled to be a part of the B. Riley Investor Conference and to be so warmly embraced by the investment community. It’s really great when you can put together a fun evening of boxing entertainment while supporting an effort to help so many children suffering from juvenile diabetes and obesity,” said Sugar Ray Leonard.
