Anthropic's Claude Chatbot Gets an Upgrade with Image Analysis, Challenging Google and OpenAI

Artificial intelligence startup Anthropic is developing a new feature for its chatbot, Claude, enabling it to analyze images.

A Bloomberg review of Anthropic’s website code uncovered unpublished text, revealing the addition of image recognition to the Claude chatbot.

The text suggests interactive prompts for users to engage with Claude using image analysis, such as asking about architectural styles, creating ad copy for a product, or interpreting economic data from charts.

Claude operates solely with text commands, handling tasks like summarizing documents or assisting with language practice.

Founded in 2021 by former OpenAI employees, Anthropic focuses on responsible AI and safety.
