Meta Platforms Inc.’s (NASDAQ:META) Threads plans to introduce the “Search” feature soon, and Elon Musk hasn’t missed this opportunity to take a potshot at X’s rival.
What Happened: On Thursday, Mark Zuckerberg reiterated his previous announcement about an upcoming feature: Search function.
Sharing a screenshot of his post, a graphic designer at Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) who goes by the name Doge Designer on X, formerly Twitter, said, “Get excited about a basic search feature?”
He then asked why Threads is even considered a competitor to X.

In response, Musk also took a sarcastic stance and said, “Impressive, what will they think of next?”
Why It’s Important: Since Threads’ launch, which was dubbed as an alternative to Musk’s Twitter, Musk has time and again taken direct jabs at Zuckerberg.
The proposed “cage match” also originated from a provocative tweet from Musk.
However, the Meta CEO has now expressed doubts about his seriousness and suggested it might be time to “move on” from the hype.
