Marjorie Taylor Greene Berates House Republicans Delaying Biden's Impeachment Inquiry: 'What The Hell Is Wrong'

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) urged her Republican counterparts to launch an impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden.

What Happened: Greene, during an interview on Real America's Voice News' "American Sunrise," voiced her discontent with Republicans not advocating for an investigation into the president.

"What the hell is wrong with Republicans" who aren't moving to investigate President Joe Biden?,” she questioned, HuffPost reported

Greene downplayed the gravity of an impeachment inquiry, stating that it is merely a question being raised, rather than a direct call for impeachment. "I can't comprehend that we need any more evidence. We have so much."

"We're just asking members of Congress: Do you think we should inquire about impeachment? It's not saying do we want to impeach, right?"

She displayed confidence in the Republicans acting on her call, referring to a “big push” from Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.). Greene believes that McCarthy would be one of the first to vote in favor if a vote was held at present.

"It's not our Speaker's [fault.] It's still some of these few remaining Republicans that may have won a Biden district, or they, for whatever reason, I don't know."

Greene concluded her remarks with a warning. She threatened that she would not be able to bear the inaction if nothing was done by September.

Why It Matters: Greene’s call for action comes as the impeachment inquiry into Biden seems increasingly likely. McCarthy described the potential impeachment inquiry as a "natural step forward" amid ongoing Republican investigations into the Biden family.

This development could potentially fuel President Biden’s 2024 re-election campaign, as an impeachment inquiry may heighten enthusiasm among Biden supporters, according to CNN's political director, David Chalian.

Moreover, September is anticipated to be significant with the House Republicans moving closer to launching an impeachment inquiry into President Biden's son, Hunter Biden, as per a senior GOP aide.

This growing momentum towards an impeachment inquiry is fueled by claims that President Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, accepted bribes from Ukrainian officials, something the White House has strongly denied.
