China Airlines Ltd. is reportedly choosing between Boeing Company's (NYSE:BA) upgraded 777 and Airbus SE's (OTC:EADSY) A350-1000 as it looks to revitalize its fleet by retiring the existing long-haul jets.
The company is in search of a new fleet to replace the 10 Boeing 777-300ER, Bloomberg reported, citing a statement from China Airlines president Kao Shing-Hwang.

However, the government-backed airlines did not specify a timetable for the fleet upgrade, Bloomberg added.
China Airlines has over 85 aircraft, including 23 freighter jets.
The company's ten 777-300ERs have a median age of about 8.3 years. It also flies the Airbus A350-900.

Price Action: BA shares are trading higher by 1.22% to $230.02 on the last check Wednesday.
