Amid Expanded Classified Document Probe FBI Searches President Biden's Delaware Home

President Joe Biden's personal lawyer said that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is searching the president's home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, as part of an investigation into classified documents.

In a statement, Biden's attorney said the search was "planned" with the president's "full support."
Bob Bauer's Wednesday statement said, "Today, with the President's full support and cooperation, the DOJ is conducting a planned search of his home in Rehoboth, Delaware."

Most recently, the FBI searched a think tank linked to Biden after his aides found classified documents at the organization's private office in mid-November.
As per the reports, the investigation relates to a broader probe into handling classified documents.
Those attorneys found classified records in Wilmington but not in Rehoboth, CNBC wrote, citing Bauer.
"Under DOJ's standard procedures, in the interests of operational security and integrity, it sought to do this work without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate," Bauer said.
