Founded in 1951, Dreyfus Corporation invests its assets in mutual funds from different categories, including both equity and fixed-income funds. With nearly $258 billion assets under management as of Jun 30, 2017, Dreyfus is considered one of the leaders in investment management and the distribution domain in the United States.

Separately, its parent company BNY Mellon seeks to offer a wide range of financial services including investment management, investment services and wealth management across 35 countries. BNY Mellon was established in 1784 by Alexander Hamilton and currently has nearly $1.7 trillion assets under management.

Dreyfus Natural Resources Fund Class A DNLAX seeks appreciation of capital for the long run. DNLAX invests the lion's share of its assets in stocks issued by companies engaged in natural resources and natural resources-related sectors. The fund may invest in non-U.S. securities, including emerging markets securities. Dreyfus Natural Resources Fund Class A has three-year annualized returns of 1.3%.

DNLAX has an expense ratio of 1.34% compared with the category average of 1.36%

Dreyfus Municipal Bond DRTAX invests a major portion of its assets in municipal debt securities that are expected to provide returns exempted from federal income tax. DRTAX invests the majority of its assets in securities that are rated A or higher. DRTAX is believed to maintain a dollar-weighted average maturity of more than 10 years. The Dreyfus Municipal Bond fund has three-year annualized returns of 3.4%.
