U.S. stocks traded mostly higher this morning, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 100 points on Friday.
Following the market opening Friday, the Dow traded up 0.24% to 42,445.30 while the NASDAQ fell 0.13% to 19,347.54. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.08% to 5,871.87.

Leading and Lagging Sectors
Real estate shares rose by 1.1% on Friday.
In trading on Friday, consumer staples shares fell by 0.4%.
Top Headline
Carnival Corporation (NYSE:CCL) reported better-than-expected earnings for its fourth quarter on Friday.
The company posted quarterly earnings of 14 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 8 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $5.938 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $5.932 billion.
Equities Trading UP
- My Size, Inc. (NASDAQ:MYSZ) shares shot up 349% to $6.11.
- Shares of Helius Medical Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:HSDT)got a boost, surging 119% to $0.9901.
- Taoping Inc. (NASDAQ:TAOP) shares were also up, gaining 73% to $0.5490 after the company announced it received an additional 180 calendar days for compliance with the Nasdaq minimum bid price requirement.
Equities Trading DOWN
- Cyngn Inc. (NASDAQ:CYN) shares dropped 76% to $0.3895 as the company reported the pricing of $20.0 million follow on offering.
- Shares of Galectin Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:GALT) were down 63% to $0.7600 after the company announced top-line results of its NAVIGATE clinical trial and confirmed belapectin did not achieve statistical significance.
- PainReform Ltd. (NASDAQ:PRFX) was down, falling 54% to $5.09.
Commodities
In commodity news, oil traded down 1% to $68.73 while gold traded up 1.2% at $2,640.30.
Silver traded up 1.2% to $29.775 on Friday, while copper rose 0.4% to $4.0930.
Euro zone
European shares were lower today. The eurozone's STOXX 600 dipped 1.3%, Germany's DAX fell 0.9% and France's CAC 40 declined 0.7%. Spain's IBEX 35 Index fell 0.2%, while London's FTSE 100 fell 0.5%.
Asia Pacific Markets
Asian markets closed lower on Friday, with Japan's Nikkei 225 falling 0.29%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index falling 0.16%, China's Shanghai Composite Index declining 0.06% and India's BSE Sensex falling 1.49%.
