NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) shares are trading higher by $4.72 (13 percent) at $40.29 in Friday's session. The catalyst for the rally is a Q1 EPS beat of $0.14 along with a slight beat for revenues.

After a much higher open, it retreated only $0.19 to $39 before continuing its move higher. So far, it has surpassed its former all-time high that was made in October 2007 at $39.67, reaching $40.68. Since making that high, it has retreated to $40.18 and is attempting to mount another rally.
