What Happened: Syrskyi revealed that Ukrainian troops have retreated west of three villages where Russian forces have amassed in significant numbers, Reuters reported on Monday. The areas west of Maryinka and northwest of Avdiivka, a town seized by Russian forces in February, are described as the &#8220;most difficult.&#8221;

What Happened: The Wall Street Journal article <a href="https://www.wsj.com/politics/national-security/stress-testing-trumps-claims-that-the-world-was-calmer-on-his-watch-c01c43a7">highlights</a> that during Trump&#8217;s presidency, the world witnessed several conflicts and near-crises, including Iran&#8217;s attacks on U.S. personnel in the Middle East and Russia&#8217;s aggressive actions against the U.S. and its allies.
"It would not have happened if I were in office," Trump said in Schnecksville, "Today we are considered a joke. It's not going to be for long, believe me."
Trump&#8217;s approach to these conflicts was often more cautious than his public statements suggested. He was hesitant to respond to Iran&#8217;s attacks and carried out limited strikes in the Middle East. 
Despite Trump&#8217;s claims, his policies in the Middle East, Afghanistan, and Russia are believed to have contributed to the overseas challenges faced by President Joe Biden.
Trump&#8217;s decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear agreement in 2018 escalated tensions in the region. Despite initial approval for attacks on Iranian targets, the strikes were called off, and Iran retaliated by firing on a base in Iraq, injuring over 100 U.S. troops. Trump&#8217;s handling of the Gaza crisis has also been criticized, with some attributing the crisis to his policies.
"His view was generally that war is terrible for the economy, it's terrible for business, and any time there is widespread violence, it has a negative effect on what he cares about, which is prosperity and growth," a former senior Trump national-security adviser said.&nbsp;

Despite later diplomatic efforts, North Korea persisted in its missile program.

What Happened: Over the weekend, Altman took to X, formerly Twitter, and shared his opinion on the skill to be able to communicate most concisely. &#8220;Learning how to say something in 30 seconds that takes most people 5 minutes is a big unlock,&#8221; he said. 
This mode of relaying information is somewhat similar to &#8220;elevator pitches,&#8221; a term that is used to describe a &#8220;brief (think 30 seconds!) way of introducing yourself, getting across a key point or two, and making a connection with someone,&#8221; according to the Princeton University.

GXO Logistics Completes Acquisition of Wincanton, Financial Terms Undisclosed

Chinese battery giant CATL&#8216;s chairman Robin Zeng on Monday reportedly visited the hotel in Beijing where Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) CEO Elon Musk is staying on his visit to China. 
What Happened: Zeng visited Musk&#8217;s hotel in Beijing on Monday, Reuters reported, citing witnesses. The witnesses saw Zeng exit an elevator in the lobby of Musk&#8217;s hotel where he was greeted by senior Tesla China executives Tom Zhu and Grace Tao. The news agency was unable to confirm if Zeng met with Musk. CATL is an important battery supplier for Tesla. 
Musk arrived in the country on Sunday and met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang and the organizer of the ongoing Beijing Auto Show.
The visit has sparked speculation about the deployment of the company&#8217;s full self-driving (FSD) driver assistance software in the country. The software, which Tesla touts to be capable of enabling autonomous driving in due time, currently requires active supervision. 
Why It Matters: Earlier today, it was reported that Tesla has <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/asia/24/04/38481213/breaking-tesla-reportedly-teams-up-with-baidu-to-roll-out-fsd-in-china">partnered with Beijing-based internet company Baidu Inc</a> for lane-level mapping and navigation data for China, crucial to deploying FSD in the country.

In conjunction with the spring re-determination, the total RBL facility size has been increased to&nbsp;$1.35 billion&nbsp;(from&nbsp;$1.25 billion) with current commitments of approximately&nbsp;$1.2 billion. Discussions with additional potential lenders are ongoing and are expected to increase commitments later this year towards the RBL facility size.&nbsp;$800 million&nbsp;is currently drawn against the RBL facility with the first amortization payment scheduled for April 1, 2027.
The RBL facility is secured against the Company&#39;s production assets in Ghana and Equatorial Guinea with the Company&#39;s assets in the US Gulf of Mexico and Mauritania &amp; Senegal remaining unencumbered. The resulting borrowing base following the spring re-determination significantly exceeds the RBL facility size. The interest margin payable on the RBL increased slightly compared to the previous facility, reflecting the current banking market environment, with the new interest margin on the RBL facility commencing at 400 basis points above the Secured Overnight Financing Rate (&quot;SOFR&quot;) for the first two years.
As part of the RBL facility re-financing, the Company has downsized its revolving credit facility (&quot;RCF&quot;) from&nbsp;$250 million&nbsp;to approximately&nbsp;$165 million&nbsp;with some banks transferring their commitments from the RCF to the RBL in anticipation of the RCF maturing at the end of 2024.

Domino&#8217;s shares rose 0.3% to $500.39 in after-hours trading.
Analysts are expecting Yum China Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/YUMC#NYSE">YUMC</a>) to post quarterly earnings at 65 cents per share on revenue of $3.05 billion. The company will release earnings after the markets close. Yum China shares rose 0.7% to $39.91 in after-hours trading.
Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) is reportedly set to lay off 693 employees at its Nevada facilities as part of the 10% layoff announced by the company earlier this month to reduce costs amid falling EV sales and margins. What Happened: China is preparing to launch a robotic spacecraft to the moon&#8217;s far side, a mission that will be the first of three challenging endeavors. These missions will focus on exploring the moon&#8217;s south pole for water and establishing a rudimentary outpost with Russia. China aims to land its astronauts on the moon by 2030.
Chang&#8217;e-6 is set to transport payloads from France, Italy, Sweden, and Pakistan, while Chang&#8217;e-7 will carry payloads from Russia, Switzerland, and Thailand. Due to U.S. legal restrictions, NASA is prohibited from engaging in any form of collaboration, whether direct or indirect, with China.
&#8220;International cooperation is key (to lunar exploration),&#8221; Clive Neal, professor of planetary geology at the University of Notre Dame, told Reuters. &#8220;It&#8217;s just that China and the U.S. aren&#8217;t cooperating right now. I hope that will happen.&#8221;

Domino's Pizza Likely To Report Higher Q1 Earnings; Here Are The Recent Forecast Changes From Wall Street's Most Accurate Analysts

Corporate <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/04/38471231/strong-quarterly-earnings-fuel-market-optimism-despite-inflation-concerns-slowing-economic-growt">earnings came to the market&#8217;s rescue in the past week,</a> helping to overcome rate fears. As we look ahead to the unfolding week, it remains to be seen whether the tech earnings deluge can keep the rally&#8217;s momentum going. 
The Week That Was: High-profile Magnificent Seven earnings panned out mostly positively for the market, with Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/META#NASDAQ">META</a>) the outlier. The social media giant&#8217;s stock fell sharply as traders fretted over the soft second-quarter revenue guidance and the company&#8217;s massive AI investment plans. 
Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) managed to appease the Street despite the double miss as it held out the promise of an expeditious launch of a more affordable EV. 
With the earnings season now halfway through, the percentage of S&amp;P 500 companies reporting positive earnings surprises and the magnitude of earnings surprises were above their 10-year averages, <a href="https://insight.factset.com/sp-500-earnings-season-update-april-26-2024?utm_source=Direct&amp;utm_medium=Email&amp;utm_campaign=FO-04-26-2024&amp;utm_content=httpsinsightfactsetcomsp500earningsseasonupdateapril262024">said </a>FactSet in a report.
The blended first-quarter earnings growth of S&amp;P 500 companies is estimated at 3.5%, up from the 0.6% growth estimated in the week ended April 19, the financial data analytics firm said. If the trend holds, the S&amp;P 500 companies are on track to report earnings growth for the third straight quarter.
Of the 11 S&amp;P sector classes, eight sectors reported year-over-year earnings growth, led by communication services, utilities, IT, and consumer discretionary sectors. On the other hand, healthcare, energy, and materials have reported year-over-year earnings declines.

Look Ahead: The unfolding week will see 175 S&amp;P 500 companies and 6 Dow 30 components releasing their quarterly scorecards. The earnings roster includes two Magnificent Seven companies, namely Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) and Amazon, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>), e-commerce retailers, payment processors, restaurants, and energy and REIT companies.
Earnings from Apple and Amazon could be market-moving, given the weighting of these stocks in the S&amp;P 500 Index. Also, Apple is considered a bellwether, given its exposure to consumers. Morgan Stanley&#8217;s Erik Woodring expects Apple to report a slightly beat but guide June quarter revenue down. 
Investors are likely to keep a close eye on performance in China, Apple&#8217;s updated capital return framework, and capital expenditures, the analyst said.
That said, the analyst is positive on the stock ahead of its annual Worldwide Developers&#8217; Conference due on June 10th. &#8220;With Apple&#8217;s biggest WWDC event on June 10th, we&#8217;d buy post-earnings weakness,&#8221; he said.
Amazon will likely continue to report double-digit sales and profit growth in the first quarter, according to Telsey Advisory Group analyst Joseph Feldman. The analyst premised his optimism on the strength of online spending, gains from expanded merchandise and faster fulfillment, and stabilization (and growth) of AWS. 
&#8220;Importantly, we expect [a] greater focus on profits supported by the growth of higher margin categories and services, such as advertising, media, and AWS (partly helped by AI-related upgrades), the redesigned distribution network&#8230;.. and cost savings,&#8221; he said.
