CNN Reporting FBI Investigating What Appears To Be An Attempted Assassination Of Trump

Donald Trump was abruptly escorted to safety following a shooting incident at his Florida golf club on Sunday afternoon. The event unfolded when a man, armed with an assault rifle, was seen in the vicinity of the club while Trump was present.
What Happened: As per a <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/09/15/us-news/shooting-reported-at-donald-trumps-golf-club-while-ex-president-was-on-grounds/">New York Post report</a>, the incident transpired around 2 p.m. when a Secret Service agent, a member of Trump&#8217;s security detail, fired at a man seen with an assault rifle near the Trump International Golf Course West Palm Beach. The suspect managed to escape the scene.
Law enforcement sources have indicated that they do not believe the suspect had an opportunity to fire at Trump. The authorities later found the assault rifle.

Donald Trump Safe And Unharmed After Shooting Incident At Florida Golf Club

The <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/09/40806876/final-showdown-trump-and-harris-face-off-in-intense-debate-just-eight-weeks-before-election-day">presidential debate held last week</a> did little to alter the equation between Republican candidate Donald Trump and his Democratic rival Kamala Harris, new poll results published on Sunday showed.
The Head-to-Head Tally: Harris received 51% support among registered voters compared to 47% support for Trump, the <a href="https://www.langerresearch.com/wp-content/uploads/1236a1AftertheHarris-TrumpDebate.pdf">poll</a> conducted by ABC News, who hosted the debate, along with Ipsos showed. The former&#8217;s slight lead is statistically unchanged from the previous ABC/Ipsos poll conducted before the debate.
The survey was conducted between Sept. 11-13 and 3,276 adults were surveyed for the purpose.
Among likely voters, the tally was 52%-46% in favor of Harris, unchanged from the numbers seen before the debate.
The share of Harris supporters who strongly backed her was 62%, while Trump supporters who strongly backed him was at 56%, down from 60% at the end of August.
The survey found that<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/09/40866592/swifties-rally-for-kamala-harris-taylor-swift-superfan-organizes-online-push-for-democratic-ticket"> Taylor Swift&#8217;s endorsement</a> had little impact. Merely 6% said the popular singer-songwriter's endorsement of Harris makes them more likely to vote for her. While 13% said it makes them less likely to support her, 81% saying it makes no difference.

Debate Performance: Harris won hands down, according to the respondents, with 58% picking her as the winner and 36% opining that Trump won. Thirty-seven of the respondents said the debate made them think more favorably about the vice president, more than double that of the 17% who felt the same about Trump. Thirty percent of the respondents said the debate made them feel less favorably about the former president.
The benefit for Harris came from her voter base, as 60% of the Democratic and Democratic-leaning independent voters said the debate made them feel more favorably toward her. On the other hand, only 34% of the Republican and Republican-leaning independent voters said the debate made them see Trump more favorably.
&#8220;The absence of movement in vote preferences, despite a 22-point tilt to Harris as having won the debate, marks the sharply polarized nature of the electorate,&#8221; the pollster said. &#8220;Almost everyone has a preference between Harris or Trump, and among those who do, few say they'd even consider the other,&#8221; it added.
Among demographics, Harris led Trump among women, while among men, both were neck-on-neck. She had a 13-point lead over Trump among registered voters in the 18-29 years age category and a stronger 19-point lead among likely voters. The vice president&#8217;s good showing in this category is primarily attributable to strong support among women in this age group. 
Harris had a thumping 81% support among Black registered voters and 89% support among likely voters in this racial group. She also led among Hispanic voters, with 7% support, while among white registered voters, she trailed by a 43%-54% margin.
Voter Issues: The economy and inflation continue to dominate as the top issues in the election, and Trump led Harris by seven points in voter trust in his ability to handle both. He had a 10-point lead over Harris in voter trust to handle immigration.
On the other hand, Harris had a seven-point lead on &#8220;protecting American democracy&#8221; and a 9-point lead on handling health care. The two remain evenly matched on crime and safety.

Scaramucci Says Trump-Loomer Union Marks Dangerous Shift Towards Extreme Nativism

(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>)<a href="https://in.benzinga.com/news/24/09/40780100/apple-intelligence-ready-iphone-16-with-faster-processor-dedicated-camera-button-announced-check-pri"> iPhone 16 unveiled at the Glowtime event </a>last week did not live up to the hype but it made up for some of the disappointment with its hearing aid and health upgrades, said Bloomberg&#8217;s Mark Gurman on Sunday.
Why iPhone 16 Disappointed: The iPhone upgrade was mostly about &#8220;refining device&#8217;s nuts and bolts&#8221; rather than introducing exciting or new features, <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2024-09-15/apple-s-hearing-aid-sleep-apnea-saved-iphone-16-event-m4-mac-launch-details-m13kkabb?srnd=undefined">said </a>Gurman in the latest instalment of his Power On newsletter. 
Among the changes to the iPhone were the addition of a dedicated hardware button to take pictures and video, redesigned interiors to dissipate heat, and aggressive upping of battery life, the Apple specialist said. Additionally, the company brought previously Pro-level features like active noise cancellation, down the market, and replaced its aging $129 model with a fresh design, he added.
Having the button to take pictures and video, and the addition of the second 48-megapixel lens and expanded slow-motion video recording, will entice people to create more media, leaving users needing additional storage either on their phone or in iCloud, the columnist said. This could boost the bottom-line, he said.
Gurman said none of these changes are significant to drive a super-cycle but the company&#8217;s brand, product ecosystem and marketing muscle are all so strong that even bare minimum upgrade is usually enough. 
Knowing well that the new iPhone hardware was a major leap over the previous iteration, Apple focused mostly on Apple Intelligence, its new suite of AI tools, the Apple leaker said. But these features work with iPhone 15 Pro models as well, he noted.
The improvement in the processor speed following Apple&#8217;s two-generation jump from A16 to A18, may be subtle for existing iPhone users and could be perceived only by those moving from Android to iPhone, he said.
Other hardware launches such as new AirPods 4, and Apple Watch hardware upgrades etc weren&#8217;t impressive either, he added.

The Show-stealer: The highlight of the Glowtime event was the debut of some long-awaited health features, including hearing-aid software for the AirPods Pro, said Gurman. &#8220;But even without much razzle-dazzle on the hardware side, Apple has a saving grace: its new health features,&#8221; he said.
CEO Tim Cook signaled that Apple&#8217;s legacy will be its healthcare initiatives, Gurman said, adding that the company has already helped hundreds of millions of people lead healthier lives. The columnist noted that the sleep apnea detection on the Apple Watch can warn users having this condition, who can then go and consult a doctor. This, he said, can help a lot of people.

Economy Criticism: One of the issues that has put Democratic party on the backfoot is economy. In the latest episode of the Rest Is Politics US podcast, Scaramucci <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmvGyQlHRE4">said</a> she can unpin the blame by going out and saying that inflation is not really the party&#8217;s fault. Harris has to send the messaging that her party is not to be blamed for inflation and that it was trying to save the economy, highlighting the things the Joe Biden administration has done done to slow down inflation, he added.
&#8220;She&#8217;s not doing that and she&#8217;s got to get out there and do that,&#8221; Scaramucci, a businessman and founder of SkyBridge Capital, said. She has to allay concerns and say the next six months is going to be better and &#8220;if you stay the course with me, the next two years is going to be even better,&#8221; he said.
The vice president has to make it clear that, &#8220;if your go with Mr. Tariff Trump, you are going to have 20% tariffs , 100% tariffs&#8221; and she may have to talk about regressive taxation and point out that he was stealing the money of the lower and middle income families, he said.
Harris also has to clarify about the clampdown on price gouging that she announced as one of her policy focus, which hasn&#8217;t been received well. Scaramucci said the vice president has to explain to consumers that her administration would create fairness for consumers in the freest possible market.

G1 Therapeutics&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/gthx-stock-quote/">GTHX</a>) stock is falling hard on Monday after the company provided investors with an <a href="https://www.nasdaq.com/press-release/g1-therapeutics-provides-update-phase-3-preserve-2-trial-patients-receiving">update on its Phase 3 clinical trial</a> of trilaciclib as a breast cancer treatment.



G1 Therapeutics notes that this trial failed to meet its primary endpoint. The overall survival rate for those taking its drug prior to chemotherapy was 17.4 months. The overall survival rate for the control arm was 17.8 months.



G1 Therapeutics does note that the occurrence of severe neutropenia was lower in those taking trilaciclib ahead of chemotherapy. This came in at 8% of patients as compared to 29% in the control group.



G1 Therapeutics CEO Jack Bailey said the following about the Phase 3 clinical trial results.




&ldquo;The unexpected results from PRESERVE 2 underscore the challenge of developing new therapies for triple negative breast cancer. We are disappointed that this trial did not deliver the benefit that we anticipated to people living with TNBC.&rdquo;




<h2>What&rsquo;s Next for GTHX Stock?</h2>



G1 Therapeutics says it will start to wind down operations connected to its Phase 3 clinical trial of trilaciclib. This will see the company reduce its headcount and provide it with a cash runway into the second half of 2025.



G1 Therapeutics also provides guidance for fiscal 2024. This has it expecting revenue from COSELA to range from $60 million&nbsp;and&nbsp;$70 million. Wall Street is looking for 2024 revenue to come in at $72.26 million.



GTHX stock is down 55.7% as of Monday morning. The stock was also down 20.3% year-to-date when markets closed on Friday.

Vertical farming is a hot topic with significant productivity-based advantages. In fact, the industry is forecasted to grow by <a href="https://straitsresearch.com/report/vertical-farming-market#:~:text=Market%20Overview,period%20(2023%E2%80%932031).">24.1% annually until 2031</a>, illustrating its potential. As a result, investors are looking into vertical farming stocks for massive returns. 



Given the above, I embarked on a journey to find three undervalued vertical farming stocks. I was aware that value and growth traps are prominent due to the industry&rsquo;s immature state. As such, I applied a robust screening methodology, which looked at fundamental sustainability, valuation metrics, and structural growth. Moreover, I applied technical analysis where necessary to identify key pricing points.



Vertical farming stocks are risky as the industry has yet to consolidate, meaning related stocks aren&rsquo;t suitable for all investors. However, if your risk tolerance is high, then here are three vertical farming stocks worth considering.



<h2>Urban-Gro (UGRO)</h2>

The company designs, develops, and manages value-added infrastructure tailored to numerous end markets.



Fundamentally, I enjoy Urban-Gro&rsquo;s nimble approach and early-to-market stature. However, I also find some of its other aspects commendable. For example, Urban-Gro recorded a hefty project backlog of <a href="https://feeds.issuerdirect.com/news-release.html?newsid=5989999038507398">$99 million in March</a>. Additionally, the company recently reported its first-quarter earnings, revealing $15.5 million in revenue, a 4% year-over-year increase. 



The abovementioned variables play into a broader growth story, which is encouraging, as UGRO stock&rsquo;s price-to-sales ratio of <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/UGRO/key-statistics/">0.25x</a> suggests it is grossly undervalued. Moreover, UGRO stock&rsquo;s technical variables are aligned as it recently surpassed its ten- and 50-day moving averages, indicating a momentum trend has been shaped.



UGRO stock might be volatile for the foreseeable future, as Urban-Gro is an early-stage enterprise. Nevertheless, asymmetrical returns are possible if Urban-Gro&rsquo;s fundamental variables build on their recent progress.



<h2>Village Farms International (VFF)</h2>

In addition to supplying fresh produce, Village Farms participates in the North American cannabis industry, providing an additional growth multiplier. Moreover, the company has operated for <a href="https://villagefarms.com/about/leadership/#:~:text=In%201989%2C%20he%20founded%20Village,chief%20visionary%20for%20the%20Company.">over thirty years</a>, translating into substantial human capital synergies across its verticals.



Furthermore, Village Farms International has promising short-term support. For example, the company released its first-quarter earnings report in May, revealing <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/pr/19716834-village-farms-international-reports-strong-q1-24-results?hasComeFromMpArticle=false&amp;source=section%253Amain_content%257Cbutton%253Abody_link%257Cfirst_level_url%253Anews">$77.88 million</a> in revenue, a 21% year-over-year increase. Village Farms&rsquo; key drivers were a 28% year-over-year increase in Canadian retail cannabis sales and enhanced regional market share.



Furthermore, Village Farms&rsquo; fresh produce segment has recovered from its loss by posting $100,000 in net income. I believe the segment&rsquo;s turnaround is a sign of things to come on a firm-wide level, which could add substance to VFF stock&rsquo;s price-to-sales ratio of <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/VFF/key-statistics/">0.4x</a>.



Village Farms International is a scalable company. Although inefficiencies remain, I&rsquo;m bullish about VFF stock&rsquo;s prospects as it seems like a telling growth story.



<h2>Agrify Corporation (AGFY)</h2>

The firm generates multiple revenue streams, from software-as-a-service to facility development assistance. Moreover, Agrify services the medicinal and hemp end markets, providing it with critical diversification attributes.



I mainly included AGFY stock in today&rsquo;s list as it is an event-driven opportunity. The company recently sealed a <a target="_blank" href="https://ir.agrify.com/news-releases/news-release-details/agrify-corporation-announces-500k-turnkey-extraction-equipment#:~:text=TROY%2C%20Mich.%20%2C%20June%2011,Lab%20Equipment%20Package%20with%20Grotech">$500,000</a> turnkey contract to provide extraction equipment to Grotech farms. I believe the event adds volume to Agrify&rsquo;s revenue mix, allowing it the latitude to focus on developing additional products. In addition, the contract adds substance to AGFY&rsquo;s price-to-sales ratio of <a target="_blank" href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AGFY/key-statistics/">0.08x</a>, suggesting that absolute value is in play.



It must be outlined that Agrify has a few risks. Firstly, the NASDAQ issued a non-compliance <a href="https://mjbizdaily.com/cannabis-tech-firm-agrify-converts-debt-to-equity-to-pacify-nasdaq/#:~:text=Cannabis%20technology%20company%20Agrify%20Corp,with%20Nasdaq's%20stock%20listing%20rules.">warning earlier this year</a> when Agrify&rsquo;s equity value fell below $2.5 million. However, the firm executed a $13.8 million debt-to-equity conversion to settle the dispute. Furthermore, AGFY is a young company with a short trading history, meaning it has yet to prove its intrinsic worth.



Despite having certain reservations about Agrify, I remain bullish and believe the stock will reach great heights!
