NEW YORK, April 22, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ellevate Network is pleased to announce the speakers for the 2019 Mobilize Women Summit, an event designed to bring together leaders in business, media, sports and more to discuss some of the most pressing issues facing the world today.

Mobilize Women is a movement based on Ellevate Network's purpose of achieving equality for all, by giving diverse voices, and particularly those of women, a seat at the table where decisions are made. The summit will focus on the issues that matter most to professional women – everything from redefining activism and innovating for the future to the power of empathy and changing the culture of business.

The Mobilize Women Summit is intentionally focused on creating space for the diverse perspectives of people who are not typically brought into the gender equality conversation, those whose area of expertise brings a unique outlook to the table, and those who represent diverse groups, as well as finding action-oriented solutions to some of our biggest issues of inequality, so that we can work collectively to build a better world.

Some of our speaker highlights include Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor, Obama Foundation and Attn, who will be participating in a conversation entitled Finding Your Voice with Sallie Krawcheck, Chair of Ellevate Network and CEO of Ellevest; Halima Aden, Model, UNICEF Ambassador, who will lead a discussion focusing on Intersectional Identities; Andrea Jung, President & CEO, Grameen America, and formerly the first female CEO and chairman of Avon Products, Inc., who will speak about The Power of Empathy; and Tony Prophet, Chief Equality Officer, Salesforce, who will lend his expertise to a conversation about changing the culture of business.

The 2019 Mobilize Women Summit will cover:

CHANGING THE CULTURE OF BUSINESS (FROM THE INSIDE OUT)
How can you use your social capital inside your organization? Sometimes we think change has to come from those at the top, but what is the impact middle managers, first time managers, and those coming up the ranks can have in the culture of business? And how can we support them along the way.

INTERSECTIONAL IDENTITIES
Diversity has become a buzzword today--but when people talk about diversity they tend to focus on a few things — and many of these things are rooted in stereotypes. The reality is diversity has many layers, and it's this intersectionality which makes us all different. How can we work to eradicate these stereotypes when we talk about diversity and use this mindset to help us shape a truly inclusive future?

TACKLING THE WORLD'S BIGGEST PROBLEMS
Global warming, marginalization, poverty, natural disasters.... there are so many big problems facing society today that seem irreversible and have devastating effects on our future generations. Luckily for us, this session focuses on tackling the big issues at hand, and how you can work towards a better future every day and provide real solutions to real problems - no matter what sector you are in.

INNOVATING THE FUTURE
They say that children are the future for a reason —they are not as restricted by the ideas many adults have that hold us back from thinking in an innovative, unique way, the world is limitless to them. We've learned through recent events that kids bring smart solutions to problems, prompting us to ask: "Why didn't we think of that before?"
