Walmart, Alibaba And 3 Stocks To Watch Heading Into Thursday

With U.S. stock futures trading slightly lower this morning on Thursday, some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are as follows:

Wall Street expects Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) to report earnings for the latest quarter before today's opening bell. Alibaba shares gained 0.8% to $87.74 in after-hours trading.

Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) reported upbeat earnings for its first quarter but lowered its earnings and sales projections for FY24. Cisco shares dipped 11% to $47.43 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts expect Walmart Inc. (NYSE:WMT) to earn $1.52 per share on revenue of $159.55 billion for the latest quarter. The company will release earnings before the markets open. Walmart shares gained 0.3% to $170.21 in the after-hours trading session.

Hillenbrand, Inc. (NYSE:HI) posted better-than-expected results for its fourth quarter on Wednesday. Hillenbrand shares gained 4.5% to $43.70 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts expect Applied Materials, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMAT) to report quarterly earnings at $2.00 per share on revenue of $6.52 billion after the closing bell. Applied Materials shares fell 0.1% to $155.21 in after-hours trading.
