Can't Afford A Rivian? You Can Lease Some R1T Models From Next Week

EV maker Rivian Automotive Inc RIVN on Tuesday announced the introduction of its leasing program for select R1T configurations.

What Happened: “Leasing is coming next week for available R1T configurations in select states. Get all the adventure of owning a Rivian with the flexibility of leasing,” Rivian wrote on X.

Why It Matters: The new leasing program will provide potential owners with another way to experience Rivian’s R1T electric pickup truck than purchasing. The flexibility of leasing could appeal to customers who prefer not to commit to a full purchase.

Last week, Rivian said is offering a free wall charger with new R1T inventory purchases. On purchasing a new R1T from the EV maker's available inventory till Dec. 31, customers will receive a Rivian Wall charger and also a credit of up to $2000 from the company's installation partners at Qmerit.

Unlike in the case of custom-built R1T trucks which will take about 4 months to be delivered, inventory R1T vehicles will be delivered in 1-6 weeks. The all-electric truck starts at $73,000.
