Rivian Offers Free Wall Charger, Up To $2000 Installation Credit On New R1T Purchase

EV maker Rivian Automotive Inc RIVN is now offering a free wall charger with new R1T inventory purchases given certain conditions apply.

What Happened: On purchasing a new R1T from the EV maker’s available inventory till Dec. 31, customers will receive a Rivian Wall charger and also a credit of up to $2000 from the company’s installation partners at Qmerit.

“We're making it easier than ever to go electric,” Rivian wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Why It Matters: With the weatherproof charger, new buyers can charge their vehicle conveniently at home. It delivers up to 25 miles of range per hour and is compatible with most EV models with a cord that is 24 feet long. It also has a five years warranty from the date of purchase and can be installed either indoors or outdoors. The charger is otherwise priced at $800 at the company’s gear shop.

Unlike in the case of custom-built R1T trucks which will take about 4 months to be delivered, inventory R1T vehicles will be delivered in 1-6 weeks. The all-electric truck starts at $73,000.
