What Happened: As per the report, the information was initially revealed by Canadian carrier Telus, stating that the update, dubbed ‘Android U,’ has an ‘Approx date’ of Wednesday, Oct. 4.
The update will be available for various Google Pixel devices, from the Pixel 4a (5G) to the Pixel 7 Pro.
However, Telus has since removed this information from its site.

It is worth observing that the list includes the Pixel 4a, which is an exception because it won’t receive a stable Android 14 update. In contrast, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro devices will have Android 14 pre-installed.
While the update isn’t a significant overhaul of the Android OS experience, it does introduce several new features and changes to enhance user experience.
The rollout of Android 14 coincides with Google’s launch event, a strategy the tech giant used with the release of Android 12 and the Pixel 6 series two years ago.
Despite the anticipation, Telus cautioned, “All dates are approximate and subject to change.”
