Marjorie Taylor Greene Says Donald Trump May Face Fifth Indictment In Arizona

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said former President Donald Trump could potentially face a fifth indictment, this time in Arizona.

What Happened: Greene, a staunch Trump supporter, in an interview with Fox News, predicted the forthcoming legal battle on Sunday.

The basis for Greene’s prediction was the recent indictment in Georgia, which suggested a possible additional charge in Arizona over a similar alleged fraudulent elector scheme aimed at undermining President Joe Biden‘s narrow victory in the state.

The Arizona Attorney General’s office is currently conducting an investigation into the matter without specifying if Trump is a target.

Greene labeled the investigations a “grand conspiracy” by the Democratic Party. “And just as Stephen Miller laid out, this is a conspiracy, a grand conspiracy by the Democrat Party to use the justice system at the federal level, but also in the states using these state DAs like in Georgia, Fani Willis,” she said.

Why It Matters: Trump has already been served with four indictments since March, two at the state level and two federal, totaling around 100 criminal charges.

His latest indictments are primarily linked to his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. Trump, the first U.S. president to face such charges, has pled not guilty, dismissing the investigations as politically motivated.

Despite these forecasts, it remains unclear whether Trump will face charges in Arizona. In a similar case in Michigan, Trump was not among those indicted in the fraudulent elector scheme.

Meanwhile, Greene has previously expressed interest in running for Senate and possibly serving as Trump’s vice president. Following Trump’s third indictment, she urged Republicans to place their faith in God and not be swayed by news headlines. Whether her recent prediction will come true remains to be seen.
