Biden Takes Swipe At Trump Over Ex-President's Debunked Claims: 'Windmills Do Not Cause Cancer'

During a visit to a Philadelphia shipyard, President Joe Biden took a swipe at Donald Trump‘s claims about wind energy.

In his speech, Biden contrasted his support for offshore wind with Trump’s previous claims that wind turbines can cause cancer.

"Notwithstanding what the other guy said, windmills do not cause cancer," Biden said, Recharge News reports.

Green Energy Jobs: Biden emphasized that his policies, including support for landmark climate legislation, are "creating millions of good paying clean energy manufacturing jobs, including offshore wind."

Offshore Wind Investments: The president used data from the Business Network for Offshore Wind to highlight $16.6 billion in new market investments since he took office in 2021, more than quadruple of the previous amount.

Job Creation: The White House maintains that its 30GW by 2030 goal will generate some 80,000 direct jobs.

"When I think climate, I think jobs. I think union jobs," Biden said.
