Safety Over Sales: Target Pulls Products from Pride Collection After Customer Threats and Confrontations - Target (NYSE:TGT)

Target Corp TGT has decided to remove some products from its Pride Collection after facing customer backlash.
The retailer has decided to pull some products from its stores to ensure the safety of its employees, reported Reuters.
Target’s Pride Collection has 2,000 products, including clothing, books, music, and home furnishings.
Though the retailer has been celebrating Pride Month for over a decade, it has faced an increased confrontation from customers this year.

“Since introducing this year’s collection, we’ve experienced threats impacting our team members’ sense of safety and wellbeing while at work,” the company said.
“Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plans, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior.”
The products Target is taking off shelves will be removed from all its U.S. stores and its website.
Price Action: TGT shares are trading higher by 3.23% at $151.91 in premarket on the last check Wednesday.
