Dak Prescott Takes NFL By Storm: Giants Will Host Third Most Expensive Game Of The Decade

The Dallas Cowboys are having a record season. How good? The New York Giants home game this Sunday versus Dallas is shaping up to be the third most expensive Giants game of the decade. Cowboys' new quarterback Dak Prescott has taken the league by storm and has led the Cowboys to a record the team has never seen before, a franchise-record 11 straight wins.

Be prepared to pay up, however, if headed to the Meadowlands Sports Complex this weekend. Sunday’s Giants–Cowboys game is posting massive resale ticket demand.

With Big Blue set to host the hottest team in the NFL, Giants versus Cowboys tickets are reaching near-record marks on the secondary market. On TicketIQ, a ticket search engine that pools tickets and data from over 90 percent of the secondary market, the average resale price for Sunday’s game is now $567.80, making it the third most expensive Giants home game of the decade.

As the above graphic depicts, the Giants have only twice hosted more expensive regular season games: once against the Steelers in 2012, and then against the Patriots in 2015. In their first meeting since Super Bowl XLVI, the Giants and Patriots clashed in a record-setting game that pocketed a $600 ticket average.

Credit Sunday’s big ticket demand with the implications the game carries. The Cowboys can clinch the NFC East and home field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win this weekend. The Giants, meanwhile, look to further cement their spot in the Wild Card Game.

The Cowboys are seeking their 12th consecutive win, which would continue to set the franchise record for most wins in a single season. The Giants return home after having a six-game winning streak snapped by the Steelers last weekend.
