SXSW 2024's Voting Period For 100+ Marijuana & Psychedelics Panels Is On & Upcoming Events Around The Globe

South by Southwest (SXSW) has opened the voting period for its 2024 featured panels, including over a hundred on marijuana and psychedelics.

Following this year’s event and with a record of uninterrupted activity since 1987, including online during the pandemic, SXSW will return to Austin March 8-16.

With the inclusion of psychedelics-related panels on the rise, voting for next year’s lineup includes 56 on psychedelics and 49 on marijuana-related topics, reported Marijuana Moment’s Kyle Jaeger.

For psychedelics, SXSW's so-called panelpicker for next March’s edition includes discussions around preventing despair deaths, future frameworks and drug policy reform, MDMA’s “breakthrough therapy” designation and leadership and systems change, among others.

The list would host speakers like MAPS founder Rick Doblin, University of Texas-Austin professors, nonprofit Reason for Hope, Palo Santo co-founder Daniel Goldberg, Google Transformation Labs VP Isadora Tang and MAPS PBC’s CEO Amy Emerson.

Among the cannabis voting options are panels on political motivation and policy, the impacts of advocacy, remedying the War on Drugs impact through business, the need for collaboration toward growth in down markets, future-designing consumer trends and the South’s operations boom.

This list includes speakers such as Politico’s Natalie Fertig, VS Strategies’ Mason Tvert, Useful Strategies’ Justin Strekal, Verano Holdings president Darren Weiss, The Last Prisoner Project, Weldon Project founder Weldon Angelos, Makr House CEO Amber Senter, Rolling Stone’s culture editor Elisabeth Garber-Paul, and none other than Benzinga's cannabis managing editor & El Planteo CEO Javier Hasse.
