Florida Gets New MMJ Stores And Fulfillment Center
As Florida officials continue to weigh in on whether legalization of the recreational use of cannabis would be good for the state, medical cannabis giant Trulieve Cannabis Corp. TRUL TCNNF is strategically positioning itself for when and if the policy change happens.
Over the past couple of weeks, the company led by CEO Kim Rivers, a keynote speaker at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference, which returns to Chicago's Magnificent Mile Marriott hotel on September 27-28, has boosted its retail footprint in the Sunshine State.
In July, the Tallahassee-based company opened a store at 4740 W SR-46 in Sanford. It also announced the relocation of a medical dispensary in Kissimmee last week. That store is now located at 2647 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy.
Both stores and hundreds of Trulieve's retail locations statewide offer a vast selection of low-THC cannabis products, from capsule products to vaporizers to liquid.
The cannabis retail chain, owned by cannabis multi-state operator AYR Wellness, Inc. AYR AYRWF, also strengthened its presence in Florida by kicking off medical marijuana sales recently in three new retail locations in Orange County.
The opening of AYR Cannabis Dispensary locations in Orlando (UCF), Winter Haven and Orlando (N. Orange Blossom Trail) expands the company's retail presence to 62 locations throughout the state. It brings its total footprint to 86 stores nationwide.
Lastly, Symple Seeds, a cannabis seed shipping and logistics opened a new fulfillment center in South Florida in July. The move allowed the company to distribute American-produced cannabis seeds within the nation freely and more effectively.
New Jersey's New Cannabis Shops
In New Jersey, Goldfinch Dispensary and Discofries cannabis cultivation are getting ready to open in Freehold Borough in Monmouth County, reported Heady NJ.
The state cannabis regulator gave the green light to the Goldfinch dispensary license in March at the same time as their cultivator, then known as CSDE Manufacturing LLC, which has been renamed Discofries.
Meanwhile, Justice Cannabis Co., a multi-state cannabis operator, has launched medical cannabis sales at 501 US 9 in Waretown, an Ocean Township of Ocean County community, reported the news outlet.
Bloc Dispensary is the first medical marijuana store in Ocean County and the 44th statewide.
