Asia And Europe Markets Dip, Crude Oil Trades Below $80 - Global Markets Today While US Was Sleeping

On Monday, November 6th, the U.S. stock markets closed in Green as investors awaited Federal Reserve policy updates and prepared for new bond offerings.

The Dow and S&P 500 extend their winning streak to six days, while the Nasdaq gains for the seventh consecutive session.

The majority of the S&P 500 sectors ended the day down, with the steepest declines seen in real estate and energy. Conversely, information technology and healthcare sectors defied the downtrend, ending higher.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.10% to 34,095.86, the S&P 500 increased by 0.18% to 4,365.98, and the Nasdaq Composite was up 0.30%, ending the session at 13,518.78.

  • Japan's Nikkei 225 ended Tuesday's session lower by 1.37% at 32,271.82, led by losses in the Fishery, Banking, and Marine Transport sectors.

  • Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index slipped 1.70% and closed at 17,660.00.
  • Asian stocks fell after trade data signaled economic troubles for China, alongside a rate hike by Australia's central bank amid stubborn inflation.
