You Know You Want To Watch Trump TV

To many people, Donald Trump's campaign to become president of the United States is merely one giant publicity stunt to discredit traditional media and push his own branded news network.

Meanwhile, a recent Gallup poll shows that only 32 percent of Americans have trust and confidence in the mass media to "report the news fully, accurately and fairly."

Conservative-leaning media personalities such as Fox News' Sean Hannity have already made the case of a media bias against the Trump campaign, which further adds fuel for tens of millions of Americans to turn their backs on traditional media news sources.

Trump TV Could Already Be Here

According to Politico, Trump's campaign advisers Boris Epshteyn and Cliff Sims will co-host a live TV show style format on Trump's Facebook Inc (NASDAQ: FB) page every weeknight through November 8.

The half-hour show will be shown live from a "war room" in Trump Tower and will include a "Final Thoughts" opinion piece from The Blaze show host Tomi Lahren.

Facebook recently unveiled a new feature that allows users to stream live video to a smart TV or streaming device such as Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL)'s Apple TV or Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ: GOOG) (NASDAQ: GOOGL)'s Google Chromecast.

Here is a more detailed guide on how to watch Trump's daily show, or any other Facebook video.

  • Open the Facebook app on your smartphone or tablet.
  • Browse to Trump's Facebook page.
  • The live video stream will appear on the Facebook profile.
  • Press the TV symbol in the top right corner.
  • Select the device you want the video to stream to (i.e, smart TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast.
  • Enjoy the video on the larger screen TV.

The show is intended to act as a lead-in to Trump's rallies, which will also be broadcast on Trump's Facebook page.

Politico further noted that this is the second venture the Trump campaign has tested as an alternative to cable news. In fact, Ephsteyn and Sims co-hosted a Live broadcast before and after the most recent debate which also serves as a hint of what a Trump media empire would look like if Hillary Clinton were to win the election.

Politico also stated that Ephsteyn and Sims came up with the idea for a live show before and after the debate just two days before the final presidential debate took place.

If Trump were to create a media empire it may be relatively easy to do so given his own personal wealth, brand power and the following of tens of millions of Americans.

He could also take on a partner, such as Facebook's board member and strong supporter Peter Thiel.

Trump is also no stranger to media productions, having starred in the reality show "The Apprentice."
