GTA Trilogy Lands On Netflix Games: Here's How You Can Pre-Register To Play On iPhone And Android

Netflix is set to expand its game library with the addition of three classic Grand Theft Auto games to its collection in December, just in time for holidays.

What Happened: Netflix Inc. NFLX is broadening its gaming portfolio by integrating three timeless Grand Theft Auto titles. These games belong to the “Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition“, made by Take-Two Interactive Software Inc.-owned TTWO Rockstar Games.

The Definitive Edition on Netflix includes Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas, all of which are special edition copies. These games will be accessible to existing Netflix members starting next month, with pre-registration commencing today.

In addition to its standard TV and movie content, Netflix’s gaming library includes over 80 games. The platform also provides game recommendations alongside the usual show queue and features a dedicated game section.

The integration of the Grand Theft Auto trilogy adds significant value to Netflix’s gaming library, considering these games each cost between $4 to $7 on the Play Store. Like all the other games in Netflix's portfolio, these three GTA games will be ad-free and available to members at no additional cost.

The Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be available for download starting December 14.

Why It Matters: This move follows Netflix’s recent enhancements to its service. Netflix announced upgrades to its budget-friendly tier in November, allowing users to download movies and shows on its ad-supported plan.

How To Pre-Register For GTA Games On Netflix

Now to the good news: Netflix subscribers can now pre-register for all three GTA games on both Apple Inc.'s AAPL App Store and Alphabet Inc.'s GOOG GOOGL Google Play Store.

Pre-registering now will keep the games downloaded and ready to go on your iPhone or Android device when the games go live on Dec. 14.

iPhone and iPad users: Head over to the App Store, select the GTA games, and tap the Pre-Order button

Android users: Head over to the Play Store and tap the Install button on each of the three GTA games.
