Goldman Sachs maintained Kroger Company (NYSE: KR) with a Neutral rating and raised the price target from $27.00 to $28.00.

Goldman Sachs commented, "KR generated 5% FIFO EBITDA growth in 2012 (ex. 53rd week) and momentum continued to build into year end. However, we expect growth to be more muted in 2013 and beyond as benefits from the shift to generics wane and as rent and D&A normalize. Following the 4Q beat and above consensus guidance, our FY13/14 EPS estimates increase to $2.80/$3.05 from $2.65/$2.90 to account for continued top line momentum but less share buyback. We also introduce our FY15 EPS estimate of $3.30."

Kroger Company closed at $30.25 on Thursday.
