Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corp WAB shares are trading higher by 40 cents at $88.45 in Friday's session.

The provider of services to the rail industry has traded higher in six of its last seven trading sessions. Over that course of time, it has rallied from the June 6 close ($82.25) to as high as $89.20 in Wednesday's session.

Besides peaking over $89.00, it has put in place daily highs this week between $88.65 and $88.86 (current high as of 11:30 a.m. ET). Adding further significance to this area is the pair of highs from mid-February, late-January and its December 5 high ($89.18).

After a lower open, the stock immediately bottomed at $87.68 and began to move higher. In order to post a new closing high for the recent rally, it must end the session above Tuesday's close of $88.51.
