Whole Foods Market, Inc. WFM shares are trading higher by $0.65 (1.6 percent) at $36.90 in Thursday's session. The stock, which has been a tear as of late off takeover speculation, had an inline Q2 earnings report.

After a higher open, Whole Foods rallied another $0.35 to $38.29 before profit-takers came into the stock. That marks the highest level since it peaked on July 29, 2015, at $41.75. The following day it declined all the way to $36.08 following the company's disappointing Q3 2015 earnings report.

The ensuing decline easily sliced through the $37.00 handle and so far has found intraday support ahead of Thursday close of $36.25, with the current low at $36.59 as of 11:55 a.m. EST.
