HeartWare Nearly Doubles After Being Acquired By Medtronic

HeartWare International Inc HTWR shares are trading higher by $27.62 at $57.60 in Monday's session.

After ending Friday's session at $29.98, the issue has rallied as high as $57.79, which is just shy of Medtronic MDT's bid for the company for $58 per share in cash.

Considering the large premium paid by Medtronic for the company, its shares are only off by $1.04 in Monday's session at $82.17.
