Morgan Stanley reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results. The company reported earnings per share of $1.24, beating the consensus of $1.15. Revenues reached $13.46 billion, up 2% year-over-year, versus an expected $13.08 billion and was down 7% sequentially.

Jim Lebenthal of Cerity Partners said Citigroup Inc. C is a "cheap" stock. It reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results.

The bank reported a second-quarter net revenue decline of 1% year-over-year to $19.44 billion for 2023, beating the consensus of $19.27 billion.
