Jason Snipe of Odyssey Capital Advisors mentioned that Service Corporation International SCI is a “super defensive name,” and should perform well despite the state of the market. With a 5% yield, it had outperformed over the last five years, he added.

Sarat Sethi of Douglas C Lane & Associates said that the sell-off in American Express Company’s AXP stock was unwarranted. It is “a stock you want to own,” Sethi mentioned. It is a “high quality company” and a “very good franchise,” he added.
