Spok Shares Shoot Up On Takeover Offer At 37% Premium

Healthcare communications company Spok Holdings Inc SPOK confirmed Acacia Research Corp's ACTG proposal to acquire Spok for $10.75 per share in cash.
The offer price implies a 36.8% premium to Spok's August 27 closing price of $7.86.
Spok's board is evaluating the offer with its advisors. Acacia Research held $320.6 million in cash and equivalents as of June 30.
Price Action: SPOK shares traded higher by 25.60% at $9.80 on the last check Tuesday.
