French shoppers have spent more than 20% more for Nestle products each month since January versus last year, the report specified. Price increases of Nestle peaked at 36.6% in May, Reuters noted.&nbsp;
Similarly, shops sold products made by Danone for between 11.2% and 16.7% more than last year in the first six months of the year, the report added.
&quot;Whereas in most countries retailers and food producers adjust the price of products frequently, France has set by law a three-month time window where such negotiations can take place, between December 1 and March 1 every year. Nestle, Danone Price Rises To Put Them Under France's Inflation Scanner: Report

In recent months, Russia began seizing assets from companies <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/russia">based in Western countries</a>.
The most recent development came last week, when the Russian government seized the local operations of two of the world's largest consumer packaged goods manufacturers.
Assets belonging to French dairy product giant Danone (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DANOY#OTC">DANOY</a>) and behemoth brewer Carlsberg (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CABGY#OTC">CABGY</a>) were temporarily placed under control of Russia's Federal Agency for State Property Management, <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/russia-steps-up-economic-war-with-west-seizing-assets-of-big-conglomerates-e592f137">reported</a> the WSJ.
The seizures were made possible after an April decree authorized the seizing of assets belonging to companies from states &#8220;unfriendly and contrary to international law.&#8221;
Straight after Russian head of state Vladimir Putin signed the April decree, Russia took over assets from two European companies: The Russian arm of German state-owned energy firm Uniper SE and assets of Finland's state-owned energy firm Fortum Oyj.
&#8220;The decree does not concern ownership issues and does not deprive owners of their assets,&#8221; wrote Russian News Agency TASS. The move came as an apparent retaliation to similar measures by European countries. 
In September, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/22/09/28894399/germany-takes-rosnefts-subsidiary-under-state-control">Germany seized the local refinery of Russian oil giant Rosneft PJSC</a>.&nbsp;
After the February 2022 invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces, the European Union froze over 200 billion euros ($221.5 billion) in assets from Russia's central bank. Last month, a summit of EU leaders was looking into ways it can route these assets to Ukraine's reconstruction efforts, reported Reuters.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">US Companies Stuck Behind Enemy Lines</h3>
Recent Russian and European asset seizures are an economic escalation of the war on Ukrainian soil. With the latest round of seizures, Russia is further cementing its position as a "pariah" state. This has led many foreign-based companies to begin planning their escape routes in an effort to reduce the risk associated with having operations in Russia and mitigate possible losses of a higher order.
According to a <a href="https://som.yale.edu/story/2022/over-1000-companies-have-curtailed-operations-russia-some-remain">report</a> by the Yale School of Management, at least 1,000 companies based outside of Russia have announced plans to either leave the country or significantly reduce their operations there.
The U.S. has the largest number of companies announcing plans to fully leave Russia. These represent 32% of the whole group.
Ford (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/F#NYSE">F</a>), IBM (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IBM#NYSE">IBM</a>), McDonalds (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MCD#NYSE">MCD</a>), Delta Airlines (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DAL#NYSE">DAL</a>), Nike (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NKE#NYSE">NKE</a>), United Airlines (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UAL#NYSE">UAL</a>), Starbucks (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SBUX#NASDAQ">SBUX</a>), Hewlett Packard (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/HPQ#NYSE">HPQ</a>), Uber (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UBER#NYSE">UBER</a>), Netflix (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NFLX#NASDAQ">NFLX</a>), American Airlines (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAL#NASDAQ">AAL</a>) and Dell (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DELL#NYSE">DELL</a>) are just some of the American companies that have announced a full retreat from the country. 
Leaving Russia can be costly for foreign companies. As per a regulation set by Moscow in December, the Russian government will assess the value of assets for sale from foreign companies, and then oblige the company to sell them at a half-price discount, according to the WSJ. 
Many other U.S. companies continue to operate in Russia. All are facing the potential risk of having some or all of their Russian assets seized, as <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/23/06/32835852/pentagon-just-announced-a-new-2-1-billion-arms-package-for-ukraine-here-are-2-big-defense-stocks-poi">lethal aid sent to Ukraine by the U.S. military</a> puts the U.S. on Putin's "unfriendly country" list. 
Cloudflare Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NET#NYSE">NET</a>) and Tupperware Brands Corp (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TUP#NYSE">TUP</a>) continue to operate in Russia with business as usual, according to the Yale tracker. Other companies have announced minor measures, like reducing advertising or investment within the country, but continue to provide their services and products.&nbsp;
Consumer staple giants Procter &amp; Gamble Co (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PG#NYSE">PG</a>) and Colgate-Palmolive (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CL#NYSE">CL</a>) published statements against the war on Ukraine but continue to operate in Russia. Ukrainian newspaper Ukrainska Pravda <a href="https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/articles/2022/12/21/7381668/">condemned the actions</a>, saying that continuing operations in the country supports the Russian government by providing it with tax revenues. 
Kimberly Clark Corp (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/KMB#NYSE">KMB</a>) suspended new investments in Russia. Approximately 3% of the company's revenue comes from the Eurasian country.
Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ABT#NYSE">ABT</a>) suspended non-essential activities in the country but continues operations. Pfizer (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PFE#NYSE">PFE</a>) and Merck (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MRK#NYSE">MRK</a>) continue operations but have suspended new investment and clinical trials. Johnson and Johnson (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/JNJ#NYSE">JNJ</a>) has suspended patient enrollment in clinical trials while Eli Lilly (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LLY#NYSE">LLY</a>) has suspended clinical trials.
Other companies are already scaling back, with a proverbial foot out the door, though reducing operations can prove to be very costly.
Philip Morris International Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PM#NYSE">PM</a>) said it is exploring strategic alternatives while stopping a new investment plan of $150 million. The company has paused marketing efforts and canceled product launches.
The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/KO#NYSE">KO</a>) has suspended certain operations but continues to operate some chains within Russia. General Electric (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GE#NYSE">GE</a>) has stopped sales of everything but medical equipment in Russia while Whirlpool (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/WHR#NYSE">WHR</a>) has limited its production. John Deere (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DE#NYSE">DE</a>), which gets 4% of its revenue from Russia, has suspended exports to the country.
Many other companies have suspended all operations. FedEx (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FDX#NYSE">FDX</a>) and UPS (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UPS#NYSE">UPS</a>) have stopped all shipments to Russia. Burger King, a subsidiary of Restaurant Brands International (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/QSR#NYSE">QSR</a>), has stopped corporate support for its over 800 Russian franchises, which account for under 2% of the company's EBITDA.
Intel (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/INTC#NASDAQ">INTC</a>), Qualcomm (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/QCOM#NASDAQ">QCOM</a>), Micron (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MU#NASDAQ">MU</a>) and Nvidia (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) have suspended sales to Russia.
Apple (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>), which gets approximately $7 billion of its $385 billion in revenue from Russia, has suspended all official site sales and shut down selected apps and services.

The SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSEARCA: SPY) increased by 5.56% in November, recording two subsequent monthly increases for the first time in 2022. The Fidelity NASDAQ Composite Index ETF (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/oneq#NASDAQ">ONEQ</a>) and the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJA) ETF (NYSEARCA: DIA) mirrored this upward trend, showing monthly increases in October of 4.43% and 5.72%, respectively.&nbsp;
On November 2nd, the Federal Reserve hiked its key interest rate by 75 basis points, a figure congruent with expectations. The market dropped 2.51% on the day the news was released but closed roughly 6% higher than the day&rsquo;s close at the end of the month. While the Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell has not yet decreed a slow-down in interest rate hikes, Powell said a rate-hike slowdown is possible in December. The comment, issued on Nov. 30, caused the SPDR S&amp;P500 ETF Trust to rise by 3.15%.&nbsp;

One company that stood out on the list was Crocs. Morning Consult <a href="https://morningconsult.com/2022/12/06/crocs-among-fastest-growing-brands-for-nearly-every-generation/">said </a>Crocs was the fastest-growing brand for each generation, except for Gen Z. The shoe appeared in the top 20 for millennials in back-to-back years. The report cited partnerships with brands and celebrities along with a strong reach on social media helping elevate the shoe brand.
The inclusion of Great Value Cream Cheese on the list could signal how shoppers were looking for cheaper options at the store. The Great Value brand is available exclusively at Walmart stores. While some shoppers won&rsquo;t substitute knockoff brands when it comes&nbsp;to staples such as&nbsp;toilet paper, Kleenex and other consumer goods, it appeared&nbsp;they don&rsquo;t care who made&nbsp;their cream cheese.
Meta Platforms, owner of Instagram and Facebook, ranked as the fastest-growing company overall and included in the top 15 on all lists except Gen Z. This showed&nbsp;the company continued&nbsp;to generate a large base of users with Instagram continuing to grow. The lack of inclusion on the Gen Z list could signal trouble ahead with competition from TikTok and other platforms looming.
Google Sheets and Google Docs included on several of the lists could signal an end to the dominance that Microsoft had for years with its Office products.

The month of July saw $37.3 billion in trading volume for stocks that trade on the OTCQK and OTCQB. While some of the stocks that trade over-the-counter are considered&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/best-penny-stocks">penny stocks</a> based on their share price, they are also some of the largest companies in the world and represent a diverse list of sectors.
The total in July was down from $45.2 million in June, as <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/22/07/27971151/these-were-the-most-traded-otc-stocks-in-june-where-do-danone-adidas-and-grayscale-bitcoin">reported </a>by Benzinga.

These 2 Under-The-Radar Stocks Traded More Than $1B Each Last Month

Reflecting the expected conditions of a bear market, many of the world&rsquo;s indices saw a decrease in price throughout June.
The SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSEARCA: SPY), for example, declined 8.26% in June, a very similar decline to the one seen in April. The SPY&rsquo;s maximum decline since its peak in January is 24%, falling within the standard definition of a bear market.&nbsp;
The Fidelity NASDAQ Composite Index ETF (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/oneq#NASDAQ">ONEQ</a>) and the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (NYSEARCA: DIA) displayed similar weakness, showing declines of 8.7% and 6.78%, respectively, in June.
Despite the decline in market indices and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), OTC Markets Group Inc.&rsquo;s (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/otcm#OTCQX">OTCM</a>) regulated markets experienced a slight increase in total monthly dollar volume, recording $45.2 billion in June compared to $44.5 billion in May. Additionally, the operator saw former cryptocurrency and mortgage financiers return to the helm of the Most Actively Traded Securities list on two of its regulated markets.&nbsp;
Both the OTCQX Best Market and the OTCQB Venture Market maintained a significant international presence, with over half of the top most-traded securities across both markets composed of international operators.
<h3>Crypto Reclaims The Helm Of The OTCQX Best Market Most-Active Securities&nbsp;</h3>
The OTCQX Best Market recorded $9 billion in trading volume in June, a decrease from May&rsquo;s $11 billion.&nbsp;
Despite the decrease in volume, former leaders have begun to reclaim their place among the Most Active Securities list. Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/gbtc#OTCQX">GBTC</a>), for example, has reclaimed its spot as the most-traded security on the OTCQX Best Market, followed by May&rsquo;s leader Roche Holding AG (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/rhhby#OTCQX">RHHBY</a>) and Grayscale Ethereum Trust (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ethe#OTCQX">ETHE</a>).&nbsp;
Additionally, the OTCQX&rsquo;s top 10 most-active securities experienced a slight reshuffle in June, welcoming&nbsp;

The OTCQB Venture Market recorded $603 million in trading volume in June, a decline from May&rsquo;s $896 million figure.
June introduced two new entities to the OTCQB&rsquo;s Top 10 Most-Traded Securities list. Biotech operator CytoDyn Inc. (OTCQB: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/cydy#OTCQB">CYDY</a>) and aerospace and defense company Applied Energetics Inc. (OTCQB: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/aerg#OTCQB">AERG</a>) represent the new faces on the list.
Similar to May, the OTCQB Venture Market witnessed a number of novelties in June. In addition to two new companies, all three of the top most-traded securities in the market changed.
