The gold-silver project &quot;remains accommodating for a modest production profile at present with opportunity for growth&quot; noted a Haywood Securities report.
Dolly Varden Silver Corp. (OTC: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/dollf#OTC">DOLLF</a>) offers upside in exploration potential on its sizable land package and in its current, likely expandable mineral resource, purported Haywood Securities analyst Marcus Giannini in a May 9 research note. Giannini recently took over covering this mining company.
&quot;While we believe the opportunity for discovery within the greater land package remains a significant catalyst for future value creation, we also view the current endowment of defined gold and silver resources as a starting point for a modest underground and conventional mining and processing scenario&quot; Giannini wrote.
<h2>142% Gain, Catalysts </h2>
Haywood has a Buy rating and a CA$2.40 per share target price on the Canadian explorer-developer, trading at about CA$0.99 per share at the time of the report, noted Giannini. As such, the implied return for investors is 142%.
&quot;We recommend investors accumulate shares of Dolly at current prices&quot; Giannini wrote. &quot;We believe the primary value driver for Dolly over the short and long term should occur by way of the drill bit as the firm&#39;s 2024 program nears commencement.&quot;
The start of this summer exploration campaign is an upcoming catalyst for Dolly Varden Silver, as is an update to the mineral resource estimate for its Kitsault Valley project in British Columbia&#39;s Golden Triangle.
<h2>Initial Production Scenario</h2>
Giannini presented the highlights of the Dolly Varden Silver story.
One is the company&#39;s existing high-grade gold and silver resource for its Kitsault Valley project, comprised of gold-rich Homestake Ridge to the north and various silver-dominant deposits to the south (Dolly Varden, Torbrit, North Star, and Wolf). The current Indicated plus Inferred resource at Kitsault Valley totals 64,000,000 ounces of silver and 982,712 ounces of gold.
&quot;Grade, jurisdiction, and upside to resource growth sets these ounces apart from other peers in the space&quot; Giannini wrote.
Based on the current resource, Haywood outlined a production scenario for Dolly Varden Silver, which has two underground mines feeding ore to a centralized processing plant. Production would be about 84,000 of gold equivalent (Au eq) per annum for about 13.5 years. Estimated costs would be US$150 million (US$150M) as initial capex, US$851 per ounce of Au eq as the all-in sustaining cost, and US$78M as life-of-mine sustaining capital.
&quot;Our assumed production scenario may be conservative&quot; Giannini commented.
<h2>Potential for New Discoveries</h2>
Given Dolly Varden Silver&#39;s 163 square kilometer land package in the prolific Golden Triangle, Giannini asserted, numerous opportunities exist for the Vancouver-based mining company to discover additional mineralization at Kitsault Valley and grow its existing resource.
&quot;Driven by the underlying geology and metallogenic setting, we continue to see promising drill results within the current resources, as well as when stepping out into more untested zones&quot; added the analyst.
Various deposits remain open at depth and along strike. Untested targets exist along the Kitsault Valley Trend that lies between the contiguous Dolly Varden and Homestake Ridge properties. Beyond the known deposits, the greater Kitsault Valley land package offers prospective targets, too.
&quot;Dolly Varden&#39;s planned 2024 exploration program could be transformational as high-priority areas remain open for expansion while untested regional targets could lead to additional deposit discoveries&quot; Giannini wrote.
The company has sufficient cash for this planned work.
<h2>Attractive Takeout Target</h2>
Giannini wrote that Haywood expects additional merger and acquisition activity to occur, particularly in tier-one jurisdictions such as the Golden Triangle, and Dolly Varden Silver&#39;s Kitsault Valley could get taken out for various reasons.
The project has high-quality ounces. Its &quot;mineralogy and depositional context&quot; are similar to those seen at another Golden Triangle project, Brucejack, acquired for US$2.8 billion in 2022 by Newcrest Mining. Already, North American producers have expressed an interest in Dolly Varden Silver, such as Hecla Mining, now with about a 15% stake in it.
&quot;Kitsault Valley remains a good fit for established producers&quot; wrote Giannini.

The Details:
Quarterly revenue came in at $54.349 million, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $51.496 million by 5.54% and representing a 231.76% increase over revenue from the same period last year.
Iris Energy reported quarterly earnings of 8 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 7 cents by 10%.&nbsp;
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) mining revenue clocked in at $53.4 million, as compared to $42 million in the second quarter of fiscal year 2024, driven by growth in operating hashrate and higher Bitcoin prices. 
The company mined 1,003 Bitcoin, as compared to 1,144 Bitcoin in the second quarter of our fiscal year 2024. Iris Energy said lower Bitcoin production was primarily driven by higher global hashrate rate during the period.
The company also <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/05/g38858944/irens-expansion-plans-increased-to-30-ehs-in-2024">announced </a>it has achieved its operating hashrate goal of 10 EH/s ahead of schedule and its 2024 expansion plans have increased to 30 EH/s. Iris Energy plans to fund the expansion to 30 EH/s through existing cash and other sources. As of April 30, 2024, the company had $321.5 million cash and no debt facilities.

Toyota Motor, Nissan Motor, Honda Motor and other major Japanese automakers will work together to develop software for next-generation vehicles, bringing together their expertise in such areas as generative AI and semiconductors, Nikkei has learned.
In a soon-to-be-announced strategy for digital transformation in the auto industry, Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will call for cooperation among automakers as a path for next-generation automobile development through the 2030s.
The automakers will sign on the strategy to kick off the collaboration to lower development costs in a fiercely competitive digitization race.&nbsp;
The&nbsp;strategy focuses on software-defined vehicles (SDV), a concept in which vehicle functionality is improved through software rather than hardware like engines and parts.
For example, a car without self-driving technology could be given that function&nbsp;with a&nbsp;software update. Some technical issues could be fixed with an update as well, similar to&nbsp;smartphones.
Some electric vehicles already on the market from&nbsp;Tesla and Chinese leader&nbsp;BYD have these capabilities. As semiconductor technology and artificial intelligence evolve, how automakers respond to software trends will have a major impact on their global competitiveness.
Toyota, Nissan and others plan to launch SDVs from 2025 onwards. The government&nbsp;is encouraging Japanese automakers to collaborate in seven areas to support development and market expansion.
The seven areas are chips, application programming interfaces that link vehicle software and systems, virtual simulation, generative AI that can allow for&nbsp;automatic inspections, security measures against cyberattacks, high-precision 3D maps for autonomous driving, and technology to measure distance between vehicles and objects or pedestrians.
If different manufacturers have different specifications, costs and development times can balloon. The ministry is calling for standardization in the seven areas, where the manufacturers would be unlikely to develop unique proprietary technologies.
The basic operating systems used in the vehicles will be developed&nbsp;independently by each company.
If SDV technology becomes more widespread, automakers will be able to generate revenue from subsequent software updates rather than just vehicle sales. If Japan lags behind in the development of automotive software, related industries like parts and materials could be hit hard.

Wedbush&nbsp;analyst Matt Bryson reiterated&nbsp;Nvidia Corp&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) with an Outperform rating and a&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/NVDA/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener">$1,000&nbsp;price target</a>.
Bryson&#8217;s conversations with memory vendors have suggested robust demand for&nbsp;both&nbsp;HBM and high-capacity SSDs, which are&nbsp;associated largely&nbsp;with enterprise AI implementations and cloud SSD demand.
Similarly, the analyst received positive feedback regarding the demand for inputs directly supporting Nvidia or its customers.&nbsp;&nbsp;

His work around numerous areas of supply supporting both Nvidia and AI servers suggests production capacity dedicated to Nvidia parts&nbsp;is broadly set&nbsp;to grow by over 100% from the fourth quarter of 2023 to the fourth quarter of 2024.&nbsp;
Hyperscale data center operators all noted either capex budgets are lifting in the current quarter, are being increased meaningfully for the fiscal year, or both, with all four of the large U.S. operators pointing to increased spend on AI as being one of the primary factors driving growth, he noted.&nbsp;
With hyperscale representing nearly 2/3 of Nvidia demand, Bryson noted increased spending intentions as a significant driver for Nvidia.&nbsp;&nbsp;
He added that press reports have suggested better Chinese demand for Nvidia&#8217;s H20.
Bryson projected first-quarter revenue and EPS of $24.01 billion and $5.41, respectively.
Piper Sandler&nbsp;analyst Harsh V. Kumar maintained an Overweight rating on Nvidia with a price target of $1,050.
The analyst continues to see strong demand for Nvidia&#8217;s data center products and feels the company is set up for another beat and raise quarter.&nbsp;
He said demand for Hopper GPUs remains strong, and supply is still working to catch up to demand as the product is still on allocation.&nbsp;
Kumar&#8217;s checks indicate that demand for the Blackwell GPU series&nbsp;is also set&nbsp;to be robust across Nvidia&#8217;s data center customer base.&nbsp;
In terms of results, his bull case shows that total revenues have the potential to beat current expectations by $1.5 billion &#8211; $2.0 billion for April, with a similar magnitude beat for July. In this scenario, he expected the stock to be flat to slightly up due to elevated investor expectations. Overall, Nvidia remains his top large-cap pick, and he remains bullish about the Blackwell series providing meaningful acceleration to revenues in the long term.
Kumar projected first-quarter revenue and EPS of $24.01 billion and $5.41, respectively.
Citi&nbsp;analyst Atif Malik modeled in-line April quarter total and data center sales of $24 billion and $21 billion and believes buy-side total and data center sales are higher ~$26 billion and $23 billion.&nbsp;
For the July quarter, the analyst modeled total sales of $27.5 billion versus&nbsp;Street&#8217;s&nbsp;Street&#8217;s $26.5 billion, with a buy-side of ~$28 billion.&nbsp;
The analyst expects smaller beats compared to the prior few quarters on&nbsp;larger&nbsp;numbers, shorter H100 lead times, and gross margin normalization before GB200 volume ramps in the first half of 2025.&nbsp;
Going into earnings, he noted that investors&nbsp;are focused&nbsp;on the GB200 ramp/pipeline, a potential air pocket in AI demand in the second half of 2024, B200&#8217;s impact on long-term gross margins, power constraints on AI data center rollouts, and sovereign AI and China H20 demand.&nbsp;

Seabridge Gold Inc. (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/sa#NYSE">SA</a>) is sharing its highlights and financials for the quarter ending March 31 with shareholders, noting its application for &quot;substantially started&quot; status for its KSM project and exploration plans for its Iskut and 3 Aces projects.
Seabridge has worked diligently toward fulfilling the requirements needed to earn the substantially started designation for KSM, with which its Environmental Assessment Certificate would remain valid for its life.
Recent moves in the gold and copper markets are providing tailwinds for the company&#39;s stock as it searches for a partner for the massive gold and copper project in British Columbia. Seabridge went from a six-month low of CA$12.75 per share to as high as CA$23 on April 12. It was at CA$20.86 per share on Tuesday.
Gold and copper are breaking higher so far this year &mdash; especially gold, which is up more than 15% so far this year and went up 1% to US$2,362.49 per ounce Friday, Reuters reported. The spot price was US$2,348.63 on Tuesday.
&quot;We&#39;re starting to see the benefit of higher gold prices and our share price should also be reacting to copper prices&quot; Seabridge Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Rudi Fronk told Streetwise Reports during a recent interview. &quot;A successful KSM joint venture clearly will be the biggest driver of value for us going forward. And we&#39;re diligently working on trying to get the joint venture done with the right partner under the right terms.&quot;
Companies are recognizing that that they need new projects, especially in the copper space, Fronk said, which makes KSM even more valuable.
&quot;And here sits KSM, the largest undeveloped gold and copper project in the world, as measured by reserves and resources in a safe jurisdiction with permits in hand and support of the local indigenous peoples&quot; Fronk said. &quot;So, KSM checks a lot of boxes.&quot;
<h2>The Catalyst: Gold Levels Could &#39;Shock People&#39;</h2>
Fronk has headed the company since 1999. He said he&#39;s seeing something different in the gold market this year. Typically, a strong dollar tends to get in the way of gold. But Fronk said gold is flowing from the West to the East, with some nations increasing their ownership as a reserve currency, worried about the U.S. weaponizing the dollar.
He noted in a blog entry on Seabridge&#39;s website called &quot;Gold Market Update: The West Is Losing Control of the Gold Price&quot; that central banks are now the biggest gold buyers, and &quot;gold is replacing dollar denominated assets in central bank reserves.&quot;

Fronk said he thinks gold will go to levels &quot;that I think will shock people.&quot; He also said that Seabridge is a great way to get exposure to higher gold prices if you compare its resources and reserves in the ground vs. its stock price.
&quot;If you play the numbers and just look at all the metal we have in the ground in terms of resources, (such as) gold, copper, silver, and molly (molybdenum), and take today&#39;s metal prices for those for metals, and take our shares outstanding, each one of our shares is backed by over $6,000 of metal in the ground per share&quot; Fronk said.

KSM is &quot;one of the largest, undeveloped gold-copper projects in the world&quot; Red Cloud Securities Analyst Taylor Combaluzier described in an April 12 research note.
<h2>Goals for 2024</h2>
At the top of the company&#39;s list of goals for 2024 is finding a joint venture partner for KSM. The company has noted that RBC Capital Markets is running a formal search process.
Lucas N. Pipes of B. Riley Securities, who has rated the stock a Buy with a target price of US$60 per share, wrote that Seabridge has &quot;a clear vision for a potential partnership agreement&quot; for the project, as it runs a formal search process.
It&#39;s only a matter of time before KSM attracts possible partners, said wrote Chris Temple, author and editor of The National Investor.
&quot;Even some &#39;experts&#39; in the precious metals space are WAY behind in their understanding of just what kind of world-class monster Seabridge&#39;s flagship KSM Project in British Columbia&#39;s Golden Triangle has become&quot; wrote Temple, who said he was &quot;table-pounding bullish&quot; on the stock, and not just because of KSM.
But when it comes to exploration, Fronk said this year is about growing resources at two other projects: Iskut, which is about 30 kilometers from KSM in BC, and 3 Aces in the Yukon.
Seabridge plans a 15,000-meter core drilling campaign at Iskut, where it will be looking at expanding the Bronson Slope mineral resource and its discovery in 2023 of similar mineralization at Snip North with three helicopter-portable drill rigs with a budgeted cost of CA$12 million. Work at 3 Aces will include drilling, geophysical surveys, surface mapping, and reclamation efforts.
<h2>Q1 Financials</h2>
Seabridge also announced that during the quarter ending March 31, it posted a net loss of CA$8.2 million, or CA$0.09 per share, compared to a net loss of CA$10.8 million or CA$0.13 per share for the same period in 2023.
The company said it invested CA$39.3 million in mineral interest project spending compared to CA$48.6 million in first quarter of 2023. [OWNERSHIP_CHART-700]
As of March 31, 2024, net working capital was CA$43.2 million compared to CA$54.5 million on December 31, 2023.
<h2>Ownership and Share Structure</h2>
Reuters provided a breakdown of the company&#39;s ownership and share structure, where management and insiders own approximately 3% of the company. According to Reuters, CEO and Chairman Rudi P. Fronk owns 1.41% of the company with 1.23 million shares.

The company has teamed up with Seven Point Distributors, which specializes in the seamless movement of cannabis products from producers to retailers, serving a robust network of dispensaries statewide.
Under the exclusive distribution partnership, TYSON 2.0 products will roll out to even more dispensaries across the state starting Thursday.
The initial product lineup includes a range of products, featuring premium flower as well as indica, sativa and hybrid pre-rolls.
The products can be found at the following Colorado dispensaries: Golden Meds, Xclusive Cannabis, High Times Dispensary, Provisions Dispensary, Police and Thieves, Best High, High Plains Strains, Herbs 4 You, Terps and Nature Herbs and Wellness.
