What Happened: The rating agency placed Boeing&#8217;s &#8220;BBB&#8221; issuer credit rating and senior unsecured debt ratings on CreditWatch with negative implications on Tuesday.
The strike is expected to result in a cash outflow of approximately $10 billion in 2024, partly due to working capital buildup for a manufacturing process overhaul and strike-related costs.

General Motors&#8216; (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GM#NYSE">GM</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/04/38091984/gms-silverado-rst-range-exceeds-cybertruck-and-other-ev-rivals-popular-youtuber-says-this-truck-is-a">Silverado EV</a> will be available in three distinct trims starting from model year 2025 in a bid to offer choice to customers across multiple price points.
What Happened: The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV will launch later this year in three trims: Work Truck (WT), LT, and RST variants, the company said on Monday.
While the WT variant will start at $69,495 initially and be available to commercial customers, a cheaper version with the standard range battery pack will join the lineup with a starting price of $57,095 later in the model year, the company said. The standard range WT variant will be available to both fleet and retail customers.
The LT variant, meanwhile, will start at $75,195 and the RST version at $89,395. 
The LT trim is available on the Silverado EV for the first time. It is priced within the range to be eligible for a federal EV tax credit and offers 408 miles of range for a full charge. The trim has a 12,500 lb towing capacity and a 1,800 lb payload.
GM In The EV Truck Segment: In the last quarter through the end of September, GM sold <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/10/41136007/gms-ev-sales-rise-in-q3-on-the-back-of-new-models-chevrolet-equinox-ev-tops-charts">1,995 units of the Silverado EV</a> in the U.S.
GM also has other EV truck offerings including the Sierra EV and the Hummer EV of which it sold 387 and 4,305 units respectively in the last quarter. 
The Hummer EV, however, is available as both SUV and truck and it is not known how many units of the truck in particular were sold. 
Rising Rivalry: Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/F#NYSE">F</a>) has a rival to the Silverado EV in its F-150 Lightning pickup and Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) in its Cybertruck.
Ford sold <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/10/41179283/fords-us-ev-sales-gather-pace-in-q3-even-as-its-best-seller-mustang-mach-e-suv-slows-down">7,162 units of the F-150 Lightning</a> in the U.S. in the last quarter. The 2024 model year Lightning&#8217;s base variant starts at about $63,000.
As for the Cybertruck, it is unclear how many units Tesla sold in the last quarter as the company does not provide a model-wise breakdown of delivery numbers. The foundation series edition of the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/10/41201829/tesla-dismisses-recent-recall-of-over-27k-cybertrucks-says-it-is-just-a-free-over-the-air-software-u">Cybertruck starts at about $100,000</a>, higher than the premium variants of the Silverado EV and the F-150 Lightning.

Google Cries Foul As DOJ Moves To Break Up Search Giant, Calls Recommendations 'Radical' As Antitrust Ruling Aims To Limit Its Search Market Monopoly

Palantir Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PLTR#NYSE">PLTR</a>) shares have been on a tear ever since <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/09/40766713/palantirs-s-p-500-inclusion-another-validation-moment-as-it-embarks-on-new-era-of-e">the company was added to the S&amp;P 500 Index.</a> The stock inflection has followed an inflection in the company&#8217;s fundamentals, and on Tuesday the data analytics company&#8217;s CTO Shyam Sankar acknowledged that the company is facing a surge in demand.
Offering Business Value: &#8220;This is a unique moment for Palantir,&#8221; <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/video/2024/10/08/palantir-cto-on-surging-demand-enterprise-automation-is-where-the-value-is.html??__source&#x7C;twitter&#x7C;main&#x7C;verticalvideo=TW+vert">said</a> Sankar in an interview with CNBC. The commercial business is seeing tailwinds, the rate of the adoption of artificial intelligence is increasing, and enterprise automation is where the value is and the toolchain, he said, adding that &#8220;It&#8217;s a 10-year overnight success.&#8221;
The foundational investments Palantir made in an ontology are the prerequisites for quickly putting these workflows into production, from a &#8220;charismatic prototype to actual business value,&#8221; the executive said.

The Alex Karp-led company automated all of the insurance underwriting, reducing the time required to do the process from two days to three hours. Taking On Biggies: On Palantir&#8217;s advantages over bigger rivals such as Microsoft, IBM and Alphabet all of which offer services to improve the productivity of clients, Sankar said all the value is going to companies that have built a tool chain that allows you to get to production quickly. &#8220;We've spent the better part of a decade building exactly that,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;You want to solve the whole problem; you have to be able to solve the whole problem and provide the regulators the transparency, the assurance&#8230;..they need to say &#8216;yes this model can be in production, this workflow can be AI-enabled,&#8221; he added.
Sankar also weighed in the cultural differences that forced them to take different approaches toward AI. He noted that Europe looks like a &#8220;deer in headlights,&#8221; as they try to think through the problem. &#8220;If there's anything about AI, it is fundamentally experiential; you cannot think your way through it,&#8221; he said.
 &#8220;If you're paying consultants to help you to think about how to deploy it, you're just lighting money on fire. You have got to roll up your sleeves and get busy implementing it and that is a unique strength of the American commercial markets.&#8221;
AI&#8217;s Affordability: When asked whether AI has become more affordable, Sankar said it has become more effective. &#8220;You kind of get what you pay for and certainly people view us as a premium product but when you get results in weeks instead of years it's clearly worth it,&#8221; he said.
He also weighed in on the opportunity offered by the worsening geopolitical tensions around the world. &#8220;We are as America in an undeclared state of emergency,&#8221; he said pointing to the massacre in Israel a year back, the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/russia-ukraine-war">Ukraine war, </a>Iran&#8217;s attack on the U.S. bases, and the Chinese Communist Party&#8217;s operations in the South China Sea.
&#8220;These are not disconnected events; there is an axis of authoritarians who have lined up to counter Western and American interests here and we have to rise to that occasion,&#8221; the Palantir CTO said. &#8220;A big part of that is not just the work we do with the military, AI-enabling to kill change, drive deterrence to scare the bejesus out of our enemies but also to reindustrialize America,&#8221; he added.

ASE Technology Reported September Net Revenue Growth Of 3.4% YoY And Q3 Growth Of 1.2% YoY

The highly anticipated HBO documentary, which has piqued the interest of the cryptocurrency community since its trailer drop, aired Tuesday night and named Peter Todd as Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) creator Satoshi Nakamoto.
What happened: The documentary <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/10/41242615/peter-todd-is-satoshi-nakamoto-bitcoin-core-developer-denies-hbo-documentary-claims-im-not">covered Bitcoin&#8217;s roots and introduced</a> various figures from the early days of its development, eventually locking in on the Bitcoin core developer.
In anticipation of the reveal, meme coins referencing the cryptocurrency&#8217;s purported inventors gained popularity, several of which tanked after Todd was identified as Satoshi.
Coins inspired by late computer scientist Len Sassaman, who was briefly <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/10/41200679/len-sassaman-is-bitcoin-creator-satoshi-nakamoto-in-hbo-documentary-polymarket-punters-see">cryptocurrency bettors' favorite</a>, nosedived, with LEN dropping as much as 85%, and SASHA, referencing Sassaman's cat plunging 61%, according to CoinMarketCap.
Memecoin linked to Blockstream CEO Adam Back, who was featured in the documentary, sank over 96%. Similarly, SZABO, inspired by Nick Szabo, whom tech mogul Elon Musk had once alluded to being Satoshi, tumbled nearly 90%.&nbsp;

Several persons <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/who-is-satoshi-nakamoto">have claimed or were believed</a> to be Satoshi, but their genuine identity is yet to be confirmed.
Even in the latest development, Todd has categorically denied being Satoshi.&nbsp;

The CNN Money Fear and Greed index showed an improvement in the overall market sentiment, while the index remained in the &#8220;Greed&#8221; zone on Tuesday.
U.S. stocks settled higher on Tuesday, with the S&amp;P 500 gaining around 1% during the session. Technology stocks recorded gains on Tuesday, with Nvidia Corp. PepsiCo Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PEP#NASDAQ">PEP</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/10/41225048/pepsico-adjusts-2024-revenue-expectations-after-mixed-q3-performance-and-global-challenges">reported</a> mixed third-quarter results and lowered its 2024 organic revenue guidance.
On the economic data front, the NFIB Small Business Optimism Index rose to 91.5 in September compared to 91.2 in August, and down from market estimates of 91.7. The trade deficit in the U.S. shrank to $70.4 billion in August, recording the lowest level in five months, compared to a revised $78.9 billion gap in July and versus market estimates of a $70.6 billion shortfall.
Most sectors on the S&amp;P 500 closed on a positive note, with consumer discretionary, information technology, and communication services stocks recording the biggest gains on Tuesday. However, energy and materials stocks bucked the overall market trend, closing the session lower.
The Dow Jones closed higher by around 126 points to 42,080.37 on Tuesday. The S&amp;P 500 rose 0.97% to 5,751.13, while the Nasdaq Composite climbed 1.45% at 18,182.92 during Tuesday's session.
